Shares mag has flagged up the possibility of re-transmission bonuses being paid to STV after June, by the likes of Sky, & has not been factored into the figures by analysts.

che7win, you are right, but from what I can tell a large part of this has been to pay down debt, pay us shareholders a much improved dividend (both points in line with their strategy which is good to see them delivering on) as well as contributing to the pension. Cash from operations has improved which is good.

Some M&A activity in this sector as well.

Large cup and handle pattern formed on the share price chart

I suspect that it's more a question of the shares being fundamentally undervalued as the company reduces debt and increases the value of equity. The shares have been held back by one or more large sellers, perhaps they are done or alternatively they have changed their mind.

IMO we are seeing the valuation starting to catch up with the general market/peers and general increase in money entering the stockmarket. Recent broker notes may also have helped spark the overdue re-rating. Anyway, all the best.

long standing holder as I am, loving the rise....I do wonder whether i) whether it is a big insti trying to get in or ii) heralding something more akin to a takeover? This share just doesn't seem IMO to move historically as sharply as this, well not since the original re-rating in 2013....let's see....gla and DYOR etc
