16/3/2021 09:52 | Me too. I look forward to growth in the short, medium & long terms with GROWTH in Digital and Production more than offsetting continued erosion of the NAR | cellars
16/3/2021 08:15 | All looks fine to me. | spooky
16/3/2021 08:04 | A negative tax rate has distorted these figures to the extent it is very hard to work out, with the other adjustments, what is going on. | trier1

03/2/2021 10:53 | Very positive announcement continuing the drip feed of good news. STVG operates under the radar, a great stock for a long-term investor but not one for trading because of the spread - which no doubt accounts for why this Board is always so quiet! | boozey
13/1/2021 14:54 | Hi Boozey, thank you for your insightful comment. I Would think that the spread does keep many people away from buying this stock. But I do think 400 is definitely achievable, I hope to top up on a pull back. | 241bonsai
13/1/2021 12:09 | Hi Bonsai, today's trading update de-risked STVG and allows holders like us to enjoy the ride. And I think we will make good further progress throughout the year. I certainly hope to get to 400p. On a relatively low market cap it has to be attractive to competitors especially given its attraction to advertisers versus other mechanisms given the growth announced today. Also as the spread of this stock is large, it is never going to be for traders so it is a share for investors to tuck away and who are happy to believe in the long-term growth story. I averaged up again this morning. | boozey
13/1/2021 10:24 | Very good update, do you think they will reach there previous high this year. I can't see this not happening once more people become aware of this gem. | 241bonsai
13/1/2021 07:25 | Great update. STVG has been operating at a significant discount to its peers so today's announcement should help close the gap. | boozey
29/12/2020 12:02 | Hi Bonsai yes I eventually received them but later than the due date. The outcome is all that matters! Thanks for the reply! | boozey

05/11/2020 18:27 | Shore Capital: STV is a ‘conviction buy’ Scottish broadcaster STV (STV) is trading at a ‘modest valuation’ despite the recovery in advertising and strong viewing figures, says Shore Capital. Analyst Roddy Davidson retained his ‘buy’ recommendation on the stock following an update that despite acknowledging the challenges of Covid-19 also showed strong recovery. ‘We are very pleased to note the advertising recovery, strong viewing performance, and digital and production momentum,’ said Davidson. ‘We rate STV as a tightly managed, dynamic and entrepreneurial business with strong operational momentum and a clear and consistently executed strategy for accelerating growth.’ He added that the shares traded at 8.9 times 2020 earnings, a valuation he described as ‘very modest valuation’, and said he continued to rate STV as a ‘conviction buy’. | pj84

24/8/2020 12:45 | STV in my opinion is a very interesting share.. It mirrors ITV from a broadcasting, Advertising and Studios perspective.. It would make a natural fit within the ITV group and with a current market value of approx £100m a very cheap buy to give ITV full UK coverage and the ability to reduce costs by eliminating duplication.. Likewise STV would be a natural purchase by companies such as BT (giving a real TV capability as opposed to just primarily a Sports Channel.. Even Amazon might wish to tip its toe in the water with a bid for STV. Yes commercial advertising is under the cosh but when the recovery of the economy really starts STV through both its digital and terrestrial capability could be a big winner.. The digital side of STV appears to be really motoring.. likewise the Studios appear to well respected for its output. What is also interesting is the current major shareholders:-over 63% of the equity held by below...Little free float of the shares and any significant purchase of shares will send the current price significantly higher.. The dividend although currently suspended made STV an attractive stock for income seekers.. Future payments though are under review.. 24/8/2020 11:39 | Placing at 230p in June so could be a good entry point, looks like they making some positive moves | bennya
24/8/2020 11:36 | Quiet around here, STV looks very unloved but starting to flatten out from recent drop, results due 1st Sept so hopefully some good news | bennya |
