Grateful for people starting new threads. We seem to have 2 threads. Would one thread be better than 2?

So they've IPO'ed 190M shares and now only have 190M shares in issue?

Has there been some sort of restructure where the business previously to float was effectively worthless?

Managed to buy a few through a 140p limit order via HL. Took 12 mins to be executed above the 130/135p spread.??? I paid 137.9p though I could also buy via another HL account at 135p during the opening minutes. Seems a little random!
This will likely get buy coverage in the next few weeks and the business seems quite robust. I plan to hold for the foreseeable.
As usual, very easy money for the institutions who were able to take part in the placing....helps make them look cleverer than they are.

SCSW advised trading rather than holding. Not sure at this point, up 30% already - still an okay dividend but will those in on the placing at 100p sell for a quick 30% profit before lunch?

Wirral Owl - I was able to buy on TD Waterhouse but not in an ISA to start with, but can now buy them in an ISA

Very good write up in SCSW, so can see these higher 170p in the short term imo

Kettle manufacturers go to Strix because they have sold over a billion controls in their history and never had a recall.

Off to a flyer. Maybe it will drop back a bit in a few days time, but 135 is a bit too rich for me. Happy to watch from the sidelines for now.

Thanks for opening the thread jonwig, I read his article last night positive stuff, I suppose being holiday time low vols could affect it either way. We'll soon know.

Looks too good to be ... etc

if such a great business nobody in their right mind would sell out at a cheap price

Very long article by Simon Thompson in the IC the other day. Suggests it looks a bargain. Trouble is, the price will be marked up ridiculously at the open and he has some followers who will buy at any price.

One to leave alone for the present.

Anyone any idea which online brokers are the best bets for early dealing in ipo's? As well as the mark-up on open to contend with, I often find it difficult to find a broker that allows dealings in the first few hours of an ipo?

Straight on to the watch list. Valuation looks reasonable and the forecast yield is enticing to an income seeker like me. Looks to be a good one, but I have a slight negative with Zeus Capital. Entu was one of theirs if memory serves.
