I thought the interview was OK. Much better to be there getting the message out than a long silence.

I think we learnt that the production rate at Altintepe is positive and is continuing to meet targets. This is always good to hear.

We also learnt that Marcus is confident of resolving the distribution of cash issue to Stratex's satisfaction. Also good to hear.

International man of mystery speaks out: confesses he doesn't have the latest production numbers from Altintepe whilst purporting that discussions with Bahar are going well and is confident of a positive outcome...

Failed to give a crisp answer to the investor question: what is unique about Stratex? After waffling, the best he could say was having had talks in London there is an opportunity to build a bigger gold company with institutional support.

To sum up: he hasn't a clue what is going on at the company's biggest asset (in respect of the current mining operation and future extensions), didn't bother to prepare a compelling reason why investors should invest in Stratex but is looking to line up a placing...Can't think this is going to be at a premium to the current share price

If a fund was looking for an entry point it would probably be when earnings can be seen. For a purely speculative bet imho the right time would be now. Just a couple of hundred thousand to start with to get on board with more as risk decreases. But remember the price rises as risk falls. I should add that I hold quite a few already.

We know that as of June 2016 after 7 months of production there was $32m in the Altintepe Madencelik account with a corresponding production of 19,460 ounces. What we do not know is whether, or how much Bahar mining had been paid for their mining services. We know they are contracted to receive $450/tonne so it doesn't look like they had been paid up to that point. The estimated production for the full year was approximately 36.4k gold equivalent ounces giving a bank account balance of $45m. IF Bahar mining contractors HAVEN'T been paid yet and a AISC figure of $550 was achieved we could expect to see $20m deducted from that leaving about $25m. So Tad's figure of $5m owing to Stratex at this point would appear about right.

I think the bit about acquiring more projects is just an advert to anyone wanting to sell something to say "come to talk to us". Obviously there is no money there for this at the moment, but there may come a time when there is. I think it is a long term thing that Marcus wants to do, but I'm not with him on this at the moment and I doubt any other shareholder is either.

What I would conclude from today's RNS is that Stratex are gunning for a placing to buy into a project, with a little extra to cover their working capital position, whilst awaiting a payment from Bahar.

As is usual there is nothing available on-line currently, new buyers would need to go in 'at best' or place a limit order.

This could really motor if negotiations conclude and Stratex get the money they are owed. That must amount to at least $5m by now IMO.
