Agree Shortarm.

I am amazed the company is in discussions for other projects. So it seems Marcus has been busy after all.

Soul, and then there's the Pandora results...If they're anything like the trenching results the sky is the limit!

Surprised at the response thus far, this will be 4 to 5p once the money starts rolling in.

Well done CC.

Phew! There's your answer, Steve.

Thanks, everyone for your thoughful posts on political risk. Marcus's comments on Thani Stratex in Egypt and Particularly Pandora are very welcome, and I'm surprised that we are holding the faith in Dalafin.

I note no comment regarding Goldstone. Significant?

Hold onto your hats, here comes market opening...

Finally, yes finally, an RNS that delivers a message of substance and is upbeat to say the least.

Obviously the positive tone concerning Bahar re cash distribution is major news.

On AIM patience usually pays, for sure Stratex has more than tested shareholders patience but I do believe we may have finally turned the corner.

I still find it interesting that Ariana had very intimate knowledge about Stratex Turkish operations, more-so than usual, I wonder if there is going to be some initiatives between the two companies?

Hopefully there will be some media to elaborate further, the Vox Podcast is a very useful tool to get the message out to the retail investor community.

Very good rns imho. I wonder if they get what's owed them which now looks likely would they be looking at Ariana as a company to acquire ??

An upbeat RNS this morning, with meat on the bone to follow. There's more than a pulse, which was beginning to be questioned here.

I have very little faith of Stratex issuing news in a timely fashion. They withheld official news of a change to terms of payment re Baha/Stratex, choosing to just casual!y mention it in a web presentation. We know there are serious issues over payments that have gone on for months. We know that for some reason Stratex have delayed release of their year end results and we know they are running short of funds.

Why have Stratex chosen not to release the ' spectacular' results from Thani Stratex? Probably all on an extended Easter break and I don't say that in jest.

Shavian,

Bahar seem to have worked OK within the system over the last few years, getting Altintepe up and running so I guess the status quo should be good for them. There may be a risk of falling out with someone new in the future but I don't see any signs of that.

The relationship between external mining companies and the Turkish government is also important and I hope that relationship does not deteriorate in the future.

There is always political risk associated with mining companies, the various resources are hardly in the back gardens of Surrey. At least Stratex has a diversified portfolio with projects in Africa etc.

I would suggest, in due course, the 30% stake in Thani Stratex will more than account for the current market cap of £8.5m. The recent drilling results (STI have not yet RNS'ed) were spectacular.

Discussing political matters with AAU recently they seemed totally chilled about it all, suggesting the smaller companies are below radar etc.

The Turkish referendum has made Erdogan's government (regime?) more secure, but more isolated from Europe in particular. Trump's overnight call to him may ease that isolation, but Turkey's international relations are likely to be volatile for a while, complicated by Russia and Syria.A key question for Stratex is the relationship between Bahar and the regime. Who can tell? But the political risk of holding STI has undoubtedly risen.

Goodness me I lose faith in human judgement sometimes. We are almost there, now is not the time to lose faith

My experience of disputes is that there is always two sides to the story. Listening to one side only usually gives a very misleading picture. In this case I haven't heard from either side so I'm finding it very difficult to make any judgement about who might be a "nice partner" and who is not.

Does anyone have a view about the current political situation in Turkey and how it might affect any possible resolution of this issue.

The only news that matters is WHEN DO WE GET OUR MONEY . Bahar are not a nice partner , no integrity. They have obviously taken advantage of STI blundering idiots called management , to avoid handing over what should be ours

I agree it is frustrating about the lack of news. However just to remind posters that the last news was issued on 26th Feb 2017 giving the production up until 31 December 2016 which was "35.8 koz gold and 41.6 koz silver, generating total revenues for the mine in excess of US$45m."

I feel any updates they can release will help. However we are due the full results in mid May which will arrive in 6 weeks or so.
