All valid points Red, but sadly Stratex are guilty of deceitful withholding of information. They no longer report production figures or any worthwhile news. A few months back, rumours were bandied about that the delay and the lack of news was because of some big deal in the background, instead it just turned out they had withheld news rather than report contractual problems. In the end they had no option and deigned to release the vaguest outline of the problem. There again, it could be that Baha are refusing to keep Stratex informed of any mining details -we just don't know.
Not to mention, the new CEO, he has been in charge for coming on 8 months and no one has a clue what his plans are.

It is incorrect to use Operating Costs and will not provide an accurate picture of "free cashflow".

What is the actual AISC for Altinpepe? I can't see it ever being reported, although not much of anything has been reported... Will be lucky if it's in $750 region. But really it's just guesswork as shareholders are completely in the dark and I assume STI management are too.

At this value STI could be worth a punt, particularly for TSR exposure.

However coming up to May with no resolution in sight and with £2.7m cash balance reported end of June 2016, how much can really be left a year later?

GP - good posts. I may be wrong but I thought Bahar had already been paid for the new clay circuit. Do you have any idea how much cash Sandstorm has drawn down in Altintepe royalties so far?

Out of interest, how many on here knew that Sandstorm have a 1.5% NSR interest in Altintepe - acquired from Teck in 2016?

The STI website suggests that Teck still own it (presumably obsolete information) it does refer to the other NSR agreement as well:

Just remembered there is also $2m cost of clay circuit and various loan expenses to deduct from cash balance.

Continuing that theme, by the end of the year: say $53m in cash. Set aside $4m for closure and Phase II. Gives Bahar $39m CapEx recoupment (80%) snd STI $10m.

Steve - I am sure you will be equally generous with praise and excitement when the time comes. For now I think you have become overly pessimistic but I will bow to you if things do not work out the way I think they will.Soul - yes very lucky. Saddam's personal transport, perhaps?

Soul, Stratex would have put it out for the bin man.

6 weeks since Stratex felt duty bound to let out some news, limited as it was. Another quarter goes by without any production figures. Stratex have proved to be very unreliable in reporting and we know the reason. Time Mr Englebrect came clean

Let's say the mine is producing 30,000oz pa - the $100/oz increase in gold since Jan equates to $600,000 per annum extra to STI if we are still at 20% or $1,350,000 when the 45% share threshold is reached.

Gold on another surge as Trump wants to adopt a weaker dollar and low interest rates so $1300 may be on again.
Come on Bahar get divvying up :-/

Hopefully the gold price will at the least accelerate resolution of Altintepe.

Shorty - I think that is a distinct possibility as there is even a reference to it in the TSR news release. Supporting news such as that in the mid-year resource update that would definitely give Stratex a much needed re-rate wouldn't it?

It would be an ideal scenario if Thani Stratex listed as a separate entity, at least it would deliver a mark to market value to STI's 30% stake.
