18/1/2020 18:07 | I see they have diverted the Cornwall flights to Gatwick to free up 4 Heathrow slots. Doesn't say if they will be retaining these Heathrow slots or selling them on as they are highly valuable if they can be sold for international flights | lpavlou
17/1/2020 12:45 | It’s a punt, that’s all. An additional £10m option to see what happens. On balance probably worth it to preserve equity on Flybe. Will it work? Dunno. | andycapp1
17/1/2020 08:44 | (The view from Southampton). Flybe is a romantic idea, they fly over my house 10 times a day bringing in tax exiles from Channel Islands to do a day’s work in Solent region before returning in the evening. It doesn’t make money, it’s expensive and there is no growth in the sector as those that commute from CI already do. The other destinations they offer are twice the price of flying from LHR or LGW. What could possibly be the advantage to us in STOB? The extra traffic in Southend this summer will have cost £40m for an extra 500,000 passengers passing through - surely we could pay film extras to mill around the airport for less than that? | roddyb
16/1/2020 22:53 | "The shareholder consortium has to date provided GBP110m of funds to Connect Airways, and Stobart Group has invested GBP45m through a combination of cash and the sale of Stobart Air, Stobart Group's regional airline, and its aircraft leasing business, Propius. " So are they on the hook for the £45m invested and 30% of the £110m ? It would seem so as 30% of the £110m is only £33m Now they are setting aside £9m more So total (potential ) cost £87m We know where the dividends have gone now | fenners66
16/1/2020 07:59 | Tosca have mopped up both Tinkers stake and most of what Invesco have sold too. They are now the biggest shareholder having come on board post ESL and post part of the Flybe fiasco. | lpavlou
16/1/2020 07:55 | I agree one for brave now. In truth it needs breaking up. Wood pellets and airports. Maybe they can see if the turboprops can run on sawdust? | andycapp1
16/1/2020 02:44 | Well it was long time ago I am pretty certain that they did own Marston and were looking to develop further in the lydd ? Estuary prompting lots of opposition from environmentalists Dr Al But am pretty certain they did have an interest in Southend airport and were looking to run cargo flights initially.I think this was one of the reasons behind their demise Took my licks on that one and I could of course be wrong whatever it was a long time ago. As I said I will be looking but am still wary at the moment This is one for the brave | jubberjim
15/1/2020 23:07 | North Atlantic has been upping its stake. That might account for some. Look I suspect we will have to wait for an update. their are lots of moving parts. Wiggins/Planestation owned Manston not Sarfport. So wrong there. I suspect to address all ills this will need to raise some fresh capital. It shudnt try to squeak by on what it has because sh1t happens and it needs adequately capitalizing. But we will see. Think canning the divi saves £20m odd so maybe that is enough. I suspect their equity into Flybe will be less than £10m. But certainly valuation is rather uncertain now. Its probably got a base of 100p and could be double that if it all works...which it seldom does!! | andycapp1
15/1/2020 22:53 | jubberjim - I agree its a material enough event to make the news headlines , but not worthy of a potentially damaging RNS. | fenners66
15/1/2020 16:37 | jubberjim...planesta | optomistic
15/1/2020 16:21 | Great to see the Tories backing the regions. After all 2,400 jobs were at risk. Connectivity is vital. About time I say. Duty should be axed for regional flights. | sooty snipes
15/1/2020 09:29 | I am totally confused How is this share holding its own at the moment I thought there would be sell off this am How much will the various shareholders have to stump up ? Will there have to be a discounted fund raising to meet this obligation ? When will there be answers from the company with regards above Will not go anywhere near this one until some clarity is forthcoming For the moment remaining long oil energy financial and telecoms all paying a dividend I will keep my money and look to invest on any dips thereof By the way does anyone remember a company called Wiggins seem to remember Southend Airport was in some way involved there (about 20 years ago ) am going to leave this one well alone | jubberjim
15/1/2020 09:02 | From the interims.. "the Board has taken the decision to suspend the dividend, conserving GBP11m of cash in the current period and GBP22m per annum that can now be invested in these growth opportunities within the Group" Looks like "growth opportunities within the Group" might actually mean "keeping Flybe afloat a bit longer"? | typo56
15/1/2020 08:38 | Surprised no RNS from STOB "Under the terms of the agreement, Flybe’s shareholders have agreed to inject tens of millions of pounds into the company." | typo56
15/1/2020 07:14 | Government rescues Flybe. | garycook
15/1/2020 00:25 | Invesco have sold 15percent and Tinkler 5percent. Tosca have bought 10. So we're still missing another 10 | lpavlou
14/1/2020 23:21 | Might Tinkler and Invesco 5% make up that Tosca 11% interest Think there is more pain to come Personally was in at 130 level got out yesterday first thing at 113 Am going to lick my wounds and observe how things pan out Good luck all | jubberjim
14/1/2020 22:42 | I think they need to. They must be terribly capital constrained and I’d bite bullet and give some decent headroom. £50-100m. | andycapp1
14/1/2020 21:06 | Tinkler has offloaded 5 percent, so have Invesco. Question is who has bought them? | lpavlou
14/1/2020 19:40 | The new bailout agreement? | mickyfinnthedj
14/1/2020 18:34 | Anyone know how much will stobart be liable for via flybe agreement ? | jubberjim
14/1/2020 17:52 | Yes raise £50million at a nice discount circa 50p.....lol | muchodinero
14/1/2020 16:00 | Would that bit of volume mentioned been A Tinkler unloading his last remaining stake Looks like he got rid of some 5% or so | jubberjim |
