22/8/2019 11:54 | Good news. We now have some of the main budget airlines using the airport and need them to keep adding planes each season. I thought the share price might get hit today from the strike, so a flat day with low volume is fine. | lpavlou
22/8/2019 08:49 | Not much of a positive reaction to the news! | melmoo
22/8/2019 07:14 | Yes, indeed. UK's fastest growing airport. "Stobart Group, the aviation, energy and civil engineering group, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, Wizz Air. Wizz Air is listed on the London Stock Exchange as Wizz Air Holdings plc (LSE: WIZZ). From Thursday 22 August 2019, Wizz Air will put on sale three new routes from London Southend Airport to Bucharest (Romania), Sibiu (Romania), and Vilnius (Lithuania). Wizz Air will operate 14 weekly flights from the airport, using Airbus A320 aircraft. As a result of the new routes, which will start in October and November, the airport expects to welcome an additional 250,000 passengers in the first year of the 5-year agreement, as London Southend Airport, London's fastest growing airport, builds towards its target of 5 million passengers per annum by February 2023. Wizz Air has joined an increasing number of operators based at London Southend Airport, including easyJet, Air Malta, Ryanair, Loganair and Flybe (Connect Airways). Customers now have more than 40 domestic and European destinations from which to choose. Thanks to London Southend Airport's rail links, it takes just over 50 minutes for passengers to travel to and from London Liverpool Street, situated at the centre of the UK capital. New early and late trains have also been put on, with six trains per-hour at peak times." | aishah

21/8/2019 12:50 | Wasn't it the old HQ location and made more sense when the Logisitics business was part of the group. They only have the Lake District to attract punters and try to drum up more business for Southend. | lpavlou
20/8/2019 22:18 | Any Stobart shareholders work out why Carlisle was chosen as a great place to invest their mone. | seangwhite
20/8/2019 19:58 | Low volume and quiet here. Hope the airport is not as quiet as this BB | lpavlou

12/8/2019 16:53 | I'm hoping to pick more of these up after the Ryanair pilot strikes that are planned for the 22nd and 23rd of August and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September. I'm hoping for a share price of below 110p. 100p would be nice. | nige co
07/8/2019 20:21 | Picked up a few more today. share price still in the same trading range. Ryanair strike might cause some short terms turbulence but it's vital they are successful here so they add more flights in the winter and for next year. | lpavlou
05/8/2019 20:00 | One of Stobart's smaller BS W2E assets reached take over last week, on way to being fully commissioned. | fluorescentflipper
03/8/2019 14:35 | Don't know, they mention 'investment in infrastructure' several times in the finals so it could be something to do with that. | gaffer73
03/8/2019 08:53 | I wonder if they are considering de-merging the airport and airline business from the rest of the group? Or are they thinking of selling off the investment properties, not much left of that now, selling the rail infrastructure business to a competitor and seeking the biomass business as the cash flows should now be stable. | lpavlou
02/8/2019 22:42 | No, but it would suggest something is in the pipeline. | gaffer73
02/8/2019 22:06 | Any guesses on why they have brought UBS on board? | lpavlou
01/8/2019 21:36 | Hopefully it'll spur on some more buys then | gaffer73
01/8/2019 20:30 | Interesting that Harwood Capital have picked up another 500000 shares for their clients. In the current low volume, they must have been mopping up the shares hence the narrow trading band | lpavlou
31/7/2019 18:06 | Or pop and make a deflating fart noise! | gaffer73
31/7/2019 11:28 | Yeah it feels like it's going pop upwards anytime now. Did you receive your dividend today? | gaffer73
30/7/2019 21:37 | Not much going on. Hopefully the Ryanair flights are full and thy will look to put on more flights for the winter and next Spring. The Boeing Max issue is resolved quickly as Ryanair are relying on the plans for heir future growth. Was hoping to pick up a few more shares on price weakness at circa 1.10, but it's been trading in a narrow band between 115 and 120. | lpavlou
30/7/2019 10:38 | Nothing to say really is there. | gaffer73
30/7/2019 10:20 | Very quiet on here | melmoo
