11/9/2020 14:59 | That's a bit better | y1phr1
11/9/2020 14:38 | Something doesn't feel right here | ammu12
11/9/2020 14:34 | Who are you? First post ever. Hi fenners^^ | rmsl1
11/9/2020 14:32 | Sorry to say that I totally concur with Fenners on this. Those planes you see are no where near what's need to avoid the horrendous cash drain and often are empty flights. If the airlines fly them for half an hour every month it avoids the cost of putting them into long term storage. There are around 30 such aircraft parked at Southend. | birddog816
11/9/2020 14:23 | I bought at lower price and before insider deals - so directors decision to buy the share is just another positive signal that the current market price of the company is undervalued.Right issue happened in June and at 40p...I wasn't invested at the time but I'm sure the 40p investors have a bit more expectation than losing 50% of theirs stakes.Current global situation with UK rules of quarantine isn't helping. For living 10 min from the SE airport, I can tell you there are plane activity everyday. So once the situation start to unlock, it will bounce back in straight line.Wait and watch. My opinion only. | rmsl1
11/9/2020 13:14 | So no fundamental reason then ? You bought because Directors bought or are keeping because of the same ? There are probably as many examples of director's purchases failing as succeeding , perhaps more and with reason. Director buys shares - people take it as a positive signal , interest sparked , share price stabilises or perhaps rises. That gives a prospective lifeline to ailing companies - time to consider a rights issue ? Also if director's bonus is tied to share price - he may stand to win far more than the any gain of the shares. Effectively giving it a nudge and getting a bonus may just be betting free money. Directors bought in at DEBS, IRV and ALY and others - did not have any incite - they went bust. I guess when fundamentals seem to be getting better then maybe Directors' buys have merit - but those that are clueless in running their businesses; into the ground; are not the best stock pickers either. | fenners66
11/9/2020 11:45 | btw fenners - I appreciate your concern for my investment. | rmsl1
11/9/2020 11:43 | I like to follow inside deals as they actually know more than anybody outside the business would. We've seen few buys last months around 26-29p. I expect this invest to make money rather than losing money. Patience and you will be rewarded. This could drop further - which I will take this ans the top up time and reduce average down. My target price of 35p hasn't changed and I am confident it will get there. | rmsl1
11/9/2020 10:13 | It must take some real effort to do the research and then stick your necks out with these price predictions..... "rmsl1 18 Aug '20 - 11:23 - 2124 of 2171 Will close above 30p imo. As I said, already priced in" "imjustdandy 8 Jul '20 - 09:58 - 2031 of 2075 Don’t think so. Back to placing price is first stop at 40p then onwards to 60p" "HodHasharon 3 Aug '20 - 13:11 - 2089 of 2171 The chart tells me you're going back to 70-75p." That's why I look at the fundamentals of the business. Sure the price could move up on a given day, if enough people want to buy shares. So could the price of Tulips.. But is there a fundamental reason why these should be worth any more than they are today - 21-22p? | fenners66
08/9/2020 17:21 | I see that Richard Griffiths and an associate have taken their shareholding up to 3.71% and now hold 23M shares. So someone must see a chance of a profit even if some way down the line. I did actually follow Richard Griffiths into another company a few years ago when he took a big holding and it worked out very well with a takeover at the end of the day. | salchow
01/9/2020 10:17 | Its only a few weeks ago we were being told next stop 40p then 50p 60p 70p..... Obviously next stop has now fallen as low as 23.5p so its a lot "cheaper" but as with 35p where is the incentive to take this higher? Heathrow and Gatwick both declaring massive losses. Southend was already loss making prior to Covid. They have spent money on rebuying the airline that I guess is also loss making. Ditched the loss making rail division - but are looking to monetize the Bio energy - presumably as they know they are going to need all the cash they squandered on previous years' dividends to shore up the balance sheet. They have tapped shareholders and Virgin - remember their "great partner" goes into bankruptcy protection. I have not kept up with Stobart Logistics - but is the remaining stake worth anything any more ? The airport asset may well be worth something is years to come - but with losses continuing and help set to dry up I guess , who will be owning it by then? Lenders may well take a long term view and assume when the company runs out of cash - they get the airport. Its not about liquidation of the assets - its about ownership and shareholders often are bottom of the list when things get distressed. | fenners66
01/9/2020 07:33 | Time for Stobart to fly?"...So with a market cap of around £150m and cash of aprox £110m is #STOB worth a look at 25p?..."https://tota | burtond1
28/8/2020 15:05 | More Director buying. Looking good for a rise soon. | y1phr1
27/8/2020 14:36 | Perhaps he's a big Punch and Judy fan.... | fenners66
27/8/2020 14:07 | Sorry I disagree | y1phr1
26/8/2020 21:17 | Y1, they made a statement on the biomass division at the AGM that Our objective remains to monetise this business over the next 18 to 24 months. That sounds like a sale to me | lpavlou
26/8/2020 10:08 | I guess you know , I did not say £1 per share... Just £1 for what's left that's the usual price we hear about.... | fenners66
26/8/2020 09:43 | They are not looking to sell off the biomass business at all | y1phr1
26/8/2020 08:36 | Rail division has been sold. They are selling off the balance of the investment properties and looking to sell off the biomass division, probably to an infrastructure fund. This will just leave the airport and aviation which is dependant on a vaccine. Expect the share price to remain in the current trading range | lpavlou
26/8/2020 08:26 | Might have touched the bottom ?! | rmsl1
26/8/2020 07:09 | If it falls much lower we must be looking at a bid. | cgod
25/8/2020 13:59 | No 150p minimum. | gaffer73
25/8/2020 12:51 | Surely it will be £1 ? Bid for the whole company , that's usually the price isn't it ? | fenners66
25/8/2020 12:19 | Then 60p, then 70p | gaffer73 |
