gaffer73: With the vaccine being rolled out fairly quickly this is a good recovery play now which people are starting to pick up on, hence the recent investor purchase. Could go up to 100p pretty quickly as things improve.

fenners66: As I said "The underlying assets may well be worth lots down the line - but to whom?" The to whom bit , is who gets to sell them? Businesses with assets with future value go bust all the time , they run out of cash. Lenders know this. Short term pain becomes long term gain for them. I cannot see Stobart making a profit for years. I cannot see them making a meaningful profit for many years. I can see them begging someone for more cash - why not be a lender and wait the covenant test failure then take the assets....and wait a few years. Equity investors see the value of their short term investment falling and being diluted - surely their are better short term rewards elsewhere ?

rmsl1: I bought at lower price and before insider deals - so directors decision to buy the share is just another positive signal that the current market price of the company is undervalued.Right issue happened in June and at 40p...I wasn't invested at the time but I'm sure the 40p investors have a bit more expectation than losing 50% of theirs stakes.Current global situation with UK rules of quarantine isn't helping. For living 10 min from the SE airport, I can tell you there are plane activity everyday. So once the situation start to unlock, it will bounce back in straight line.Wait and watch. My opinion only.

bernie37: Following the announcement on 4 June 2020 of the Capital Raise, the Company announces the successful completion of the bookbuilding process for the Firm Placing and conditional Placing of Open Offer Shares, which has now closed, and subject to the conditions set out below, will raise gross proceeds of GBP100 million at a price of 40 pence per New Share (the "Offer Price"). sphere25: Yes, more to come. Some absolutely enormous discounted placings of late. We have seen the likes of TED as well as RBG to add to STOB today. Despite all the euphoria out there, it does show how investors still need to exercise caution and review their holdings which are showing larger amounts of debt.

lpavlou: It's still a big chunk to sell off to loads of small investors. The sale went through as 2 orders, so I'm assuming it was acquired by either 1 or 2 parties as opposed to an intermediary who then offloaded them out in smaller parcels. We should know this week. Ryan air seem to be doing well, but not sure if their future growth including Southend will be impacted by the Max. Crises.

fenners66: jonwig 14 Nov '19 - 07:20 - 1785 of 1795 "This is/was a Woodford stock, wasn't it? The H1 results satement here has 68 instances of the word "underlying". As the IC pointed out a week or so ago, there's an inverse relationship between use of that term and subsequent share price performance." Certainly seems to be the case that the inverse relationship is strong today ! I guess they can write the BS and fool some of the people some of the time .... but really , the more BS surely less likely meaningful investors are going to bother. When I read massively adjusted P&L's where losses and costs don't count it tells me that the management don't take responsibility , none of the losses are manageable always blaming something or someone else. So they should not be managing....
