Excellent, this will help support their growth targets.

Note the wording at the end, 'right team in place', I hope shareholders reject Tinkler's opportunistic manoeuvrings as convincingly as possible.

"Exactly. The whole thing is corrupt. The vote attached to each share should be frozen at the point an important decision ahead is notified. All this just empowers those with deep pockets"

No one has to sell to them - unless coincidently they need cash - if anyone feels strongly they hold on to their shares and vote.

If on the other hand they see profit they cannot resist - well that's why we are here isn't it ?

"information to come"

Good for shareholders and the company direction? Or bad? And how soon, like tomorrow?

You can't just post something like that without giving just a smidgen of clarity!

Exactly. I bet many who voted in MRO are long gone.

One wonders if the advance in discussions of Heathrow 3 may perhaps have some relevance too.

Can only echo your sentiments. We saw the same vote connivance in the recent MRO/GKN debacle.

"Perhaps Woodford and allies are busily increasing their stake in order to have more clout in forthcoming votes?"

Exactly. The whole thing is corrupt. The vote attached to each share should be frozen at the point an important decision ahead is notified. All this just empowers those with deep pockets and the ability to move quickly which isn't generally in all shareholder interests, stakeholder interests or in the best long-term future interests of the company.

If the current Chairman goes. I go. I have no time for this crony capitalism.

Agreed, it's far from over.

The curious thing is the share price movement, you'd think with these BOD tussles it would be heading downwards rather than showing signs of demand, which feels like more than simply short term recovery.

Perhaps Woodford and allies are busily increasing their stake in order to have more clout in forthcoming votes?

Infrastructure and support services business Stobart Group said shareholders holding more than 33% of its voting capital had nominated Philip Day to be elected as a director and then chairman of the company.
The shareholders pushing for Day's election included executive director Andrew Tinkler and funds acting through Woodford Investment Management and Allan Jenkinson.

"This is just to applaud your entry 990."

Thank you. I am glad there are still some of us around who appreciate we can all benefit from wealth creation without the need to be so selfish and greedy.

If you have decent values they are priceless. Nobody can buy them. That is why you and I are 'wealthier' than the likes of these charlatans will ever be! :)

Well spotted Anotherguru, but with Carlisle airport scheduled to receive no less than 4 flights a day, it is difficult to see how this will impact the bottom line in any meaningful way!!

So after all this fuss Tinkler and co want Philip Day?! A tax exile with no PLC experience. They’re just making it up as they go along and screwing ordinary shareholders in the process

I'm not a holder, but I would question whether or not Stobart's success has been down to the entrepeneurial flare of Mr Tinkler. Not sure, but that's the risk I suppose, and the business falls over without him.
