Panic

No. Not really. Sensible investment isn't just about making money. Money for its ownsake has no meaning. It is about acheiving your own personal objectives. When you consider it from this angle it includes risk management. That is why many buy bonds when the projected return on them is poor. Bond purchases reduce variance on your portfolio meaning when you need the investment for your objective the money is there. As I say, investing isn't just about making the most money you can make. It is about acheiving objectives. It is a concept many just don't seem to grasp.

Only thing that concerns me is the biomass bit.Ok..we know there are delays etc..do we know for sure the potential revenue hit on this...a worst case scenario....I'm loathe to mention this...but
anyone remember a company called TEG...they were exclusively into the bldg and running of biomass fueled power stations. It was a great idea..but ended sadly for everyone.Do we know who is bldg etc the stns Stob are going to be supplying...and the current state of play here.

.... Last year the group lost £8m on revenues of £129.4m as the biomass business sold less than a third of its target, though investors were kept relatively sweet by the 6.3% dividend yield and hints of a special payout as it sells off investment properties. Surely the fact that you de-risk means that your not confident enough in your own business or the market it's in ?

Thanks zangdook.

I have taken a look. Nothing really about the business and I ignore director sells having been a director of a listed company myself and witnessing first hand that most of the time sells have very little to do with the prospects of the business and are just an underlying desire to de-risk and diversify assets - which is natural.

The trading statement was out at the usual 7:00; that is why I was able to comment about it before the market opened.

Not sure what I make of the statement . I think there's a bit of froth in the share price so I'm surprised the uncertainty in the trading statement hasn't sent this lower. Also the post market open TS is not ideal
