I am all for free speech clocktower and in no way am I restricting it.
The fact that I, personally, no longer wish to read StiloLosses whining drivel(comic or not) is purely my considered choice.Good luck to you and to SL with your individual approaches to posting on this STL thread.

While I agree with the sentiment expressed there is a limit to the number of 'war and peace' postings saying the same thing.

Shame on you mudbath for filtering SL - Free Speech and food for thought is always welcome, rather than looking in a mirror that only reflects what you wish it too.

Humour and Goodwill and an open mind will free you, and just look at what has happened with Tern to make you smile.

POSITIVE NEWS 12

I can be a little rocket scientist for this post and say with total certainty that management will increase dividends for the whole of 2017.

Course, if you are lucky to own millions and millions and millions of shares like management this will not really effect your bottom line.

POSITIVE POST NUMBER 11

Its been a year or two since management put in place any incentives to accelerate growth for shareholders and I think it is imperative that from time to time they put in place schemes and incentives so that they really can be motivated and energised in order to push ahead and continue creating that all important shareholder value.

With this in mind, I really do think it is about time that management now award themselves a few more million shares to themselves so that they can again be re energised, refreshed, refocused and motivated to continue with the speed of the truly wonderful shareholder value that they continue to deliver year on year.

Some people may take this as negative news and conclude that this will dilute current shareholders even further but I am sure there are many other investors who will take the opposite view and wholly endorse management awarding themselves just a few million more shares.

What a great day it is. Some great contributors and some not so great are feeling a little disappointed with even great positive news about our company.

God help us. I have not even said anything negative yet.

Thats the great thing about living in a democracy.

FRESH OFF THE PRESS

POSITIVE POST NUMBER 7

Stilo management are currently recruiting to complete their Author Bridge Team.

This will allow them to roll this tool out worldwide very, very shortly.

RESULT:

An immediate and sudden massive increase in revenues and profits very, very quickly.

No more flat numbers will be reported for the foreseeable future.

But, there is always a but, sorry...........You have to promise to accept Stilo's flat numbers for 2017 year end

Continuing with my current series I have pleasure in announcing:

POSITIVE POST NUMBER 6

As things stand we are reliably informed by confirmed sources that the current market size of Dita could explode imminently and overnight the potential customer base could explode to 5000 potential customers worldwide.

With this in mind I think it is same to assume that our beloved management team at Stilo International could now immediately see a significant and rapid growth in revenues and profits imminently.

In closing, load up and buy as much stock as you can because "once its gone, its gone!!!!!!!

Good morning Mudbath.

Such a shame as it appears from my quarters its goodnight to Michael.

Goodnight Michael.

Oh Mud!

Naughty, naughty. Nice to see how you have casually dropped that one in at the end about the bottom line.

Do you mean that this too could mean that this could result in the share price going south if Stilo report bad numbers?

Would this be one of those scenarios that I have often referred to: 2 steps forward and one step back as normal?

It was great to have input from xmlinvestor for it provides us with a further perspective.
The suggestion that the DITA market consists of approx. 700 companies, mainly using this for technical documentation, could I feel, be somewhat historic.Whatever the current figures,Stilo, with AuthorBridge, its low cost, all visual DITA authoring solution for casual content contributors(according to Mike Iantosca),are well on their way offering a full-feature intelligent authoring solution that could seriously challenge other more established providers in this space and open up the use of intelligent content to broader industry segments.
That 700 could then well become 5,000 and more, with AuthorBridge being the key player in such a paradigm market shift.
According to xmlinvestor, one of the key observations often heard has been that “DITA is too complex” for non XML authors to use, whilst at the same time, the desire is to have “subject matter experts – SMEs” involved into authoring and reviewing DITA documents,is evident.
Again AuthorBridge is set to more than address these concerns and requirements.

Stilo, having developed the technology (AuthorBridge)to fill this "critical void"is uniquely positioned to benefit and at scale too, imo.

However,as xmlinvestor mentions, the market is not very transparent;s we will therefore have to continue to display trust and exercise patience.

As for the pending results;currency factors might serve to depress the bottom line.

"How about using the funds to buy a business that is associated with parasite identification software."

I don't think identification software is needed here!"

LOL mud - that is just what they do need - some identification software that focuses on rapid growth and profit rather than their own monthly wealth.

The most disappointing, worrying and devastating thing for me is not that the results are going to be published soon but the fact that my attempt to raise everybody's spirits with a "positive theme" on Stilo seems to be having such a devastating, demoralising and hugely negative effect.

Bleeding great!

Damned if you do and damned if you don't!!!

I have been advised that I should not take this to heart but to make more of a conscious attempt to add more "positiveness" to my current theme.

Clock all that Stilo can do is simply plod away slowly but surely in the same manner in which they have done for years.

They can't and I assume they won't throw any more significant additional funds at marketing within the Dita market because they have already been doing this and in all honesty doing it as well as anybody for decades now. Its not as if they can double their marketing spend overnight and increase their revenues significantly. If they could do that they would have done it already.

I think it is obvious that they are at last attempting to spend some money on new recruitment in order to put an Author Bridge team together. This has been well overdue. Least they are now advertising and recruiting. But like we all know this is going to take a lot of time.

Stilo have also said that they will develop new products and enter new sectors.

Are they simply going to be able to recruit some new staff, put Author Bridge together, market it and convert customers over a few months? Course there not. Lets not forget that Stilo cannot throw resources at this like the big players.

They are going into a new sector with Migrate Jats. In the same way as Dita they will have to chip away at this year after year and I assume they will have to allocate some serious marketing funds into this and any other sector that they enter. I think we would all love to dream of a minnow like Stilo putting something like Jats together, entering a whole new sector and getting customers to come on board in a few months.

They only entered the Jats arena around July 2017. Over the coming years, as they market and spend here, they will slowly be able to bring customers on and as the years go on they will start to get recognition. No minnow like Stilo is going to be able to do this in a few months or a couple of years.

In terms of the stockpile of £1.6 million this could be spent incredibly quickly with nothing to show for it but we all know Stilo like to do things very, very slowly. Nothing wrong with that and I am sure they will be sensible with this.

Oh Michael it is such a shame that you find my posts so incredibly boring and repetitive but I just cannot hold myself back and as I said before I will definitely attempt to make my "positive theme" a lot more current and not "historic, repetitive and boring"!

We all know that the "outlook statement" is always, always, always "interesting". I don't think they ever do a boring outlook statement.

An increase on last years dividend really is a "done deal". They would not dream of not increasing dividends.

Migrate sales during the last 10 years really do remind me of a "yo yo". They have always been up one year and down the next year! 2016 they fell tremendously and an increase on these are again a "done deal". With them falling substantially in 2016 they will automatically increase in 2017.

What we need to look at so early on now in 2018 is if the increase in 2017 is going to automatically result in Migrate sales falling again in 2018. That's exactly what has happened in the last 10 years. Migrate sales increasing one year and automatically falling immediately the following year.

Personally, I do not think they will speak much about Jats yet because even they know it is going to take a very long time for them to get established in a new sector.

Author Bridge at the moment I think is going to be zilch and for the immediate foreseeable future. They have not even got a team together yet and are still recruiting.

On a comical side, I think I will probably stick a couple of job vacancies for them on my local Asda supermarket notice board.

An acquisition or a special dividend any time soon?

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! That would be nice but on an acquisition I think we are years away. Nice if it happened in a couple of months time but like I said I think we are years away with that if it happens at all.

Special dividends this time round.

Nahhhhh!!

Oh Mudbath! Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!

Talk about kicking a bloke in the "googlies"!!!!

I think xmlinvestor will now probably make no further contributions when you turn on him like that.

You really took him down like a "tiger that you are"!!!!!

In closing Mud, we don't need xmlinvestor to spell out the size of the market if weather or not it is big or small.

I think as grown up adults we can work that one out for ourselves.

One does not need to be an expert to know whatever the size of the market, and I say it is very, very small, like a dot really, you only need to look at Stilo's financials to understand how much of this market Stilo have captured since they listed in 2000.

If in doubt, ask Stilo International.

You could always read their annual financial results for the last 2 years.

Oops!!

I meant..............20 years!!!!!!!!!

But we know! We know! We know! We know!

The market is about to "explode any day soon"!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us Stilo enthusiasts with a good measure of definition as regards the DITA market place.
I look forward to your further contributions.
In the meantime, your posting has provided much direction for additional research.

When the results come out in early March, I'm pretty confident they'll show that Stilo remains a profitable, cash generative company with a very strong balance sheet and around £1.6m+ cash. The outlook statement will make for interesting reading but it's a very solid company where recurring revenues make up about 51%. I'm also pretty sure the full year dividend will have risen from last year.

Stilo sits on a lowly valuation and hence the chances of a surprise to the upside far outweighs any potential downside risks. Upside surprises may include continued and accelerated progress with sales of Migrate, Migrate JATS and Authorbridge, a special dividend and/or an acquisition. You never know, possibly all three.

SL - I used to find your posts reasonably amusing as they veered from over optimism to severe pessimism. Now they've become repetitive and boring. Have a break and just wait until results day would be my advice, although it's your time and energy of course.
