Thought it was decent but only that, trading in line and on a pretty high PE, nice to hear Russell's commitment shares-wise though.`HVN issued a better update with expectation to exceed FY guidance by ~10% and they're on about a third of our PE, didn't do much for their share price but they look like a better buy. I hold both.

Shore Capital issued a Hold note this morning, no target. Recruitment seems to have gone out of favour for now, TS due early Dec, some co's have been reporting slowdowns in Asia, demand from mining and energy has softened too, be interesting to see how things are holding up.

Yep, think you could be right CR, Europe looking slightly less shaky, business holding although the perm/contract mix has changed, cash positive and reference to progressive divi policy again. Market seems happy, till the next crisis:)

Overall a bit lacklustre reflecting market conditions, numbers weren't bad mostly positive, revenue up, proportion of international business up, non ICT business increasing, margins holding up a bit, plenty of cash, EPS down for reasons given, fair all round except for the static divi although they did re state the possibility of another one-off depending on circumstances. They also flagged the need to attract specialist knowledge and, in spite of their preference for organic growth, a possibility of acquisitions if they fit group strategy. A hold for me for the divi and add if they approach 200 again depending on background at the time.

This mornings broker notes -
PMG - sell
Investec - Buy
Oriel - Hold
Peel Hunt - Hold
Seymour Pierce - Hold
Shore Cap - Hold

HAS gave a flat update this morning, unusually Asia Pacific being weak due to banking and financial services, is there more of that to come? What I noticed was the strength of Germany and also demand in resource and energy stocks which has also been flagged up by others incl MPI on Monday...the energy & resources sector has been heavily sold down, yet recruitment demand is at a high (is there a message there).

STHR started reducing financial sector exposure 18 months ago and increased energy, resources and related industry about 12 months ago, their German exposure has remained, numbers on Monday should be interesting.
