Not a lot of demand for risk in the markets at the moment. A Malaysian HQ, Kazakhstan cement manufacturer isn't regarded as a safe heaven surprisingly.

Saying that, I've bought in here yesterday for a hide away for 10 years type . Highest ranking share on Stockopedia based on fundamentals.

What is going here then?

Too much stock around..not enough demand for stock here

Those seeking to invest in companies paying high percentage dividends might care to click on to Morningstar to see its list of top 20 FTSE companies in that category subject to various criteria. The top two, BAT and SSE, pay slightly less than STCM 2018 div, yielding 9.38%. That said, its dividend cover is the third lowest at 0.69, with Vodaphone and Unilever slightly lower.

I see Morningstar logged a 165k buy @ 31.5p after the market closed. I haven't a clue what is going on here, except that there is something going on here which is more than meets the eye.

Quite possibly....can't believe that no buyer of Neon's stock has crossed a percentage holding level requiring notifying.Unless we have a brand new holder picking up 2.99%, with existing ones managing theirs to within the same percentage.....?

A 165k trade reported late. My guess is that it might be a buy ?!

With today's number of shares traded hitting 596k and the Dow down 371pts so far today, we could see the Feds cutting interest rates by 0.5% by the end of the year. In that event, how much, if at all, that might help the exchange rate between the Tenge versus the USD, I am not at all sure.

Just Constant revs in KZT will translate back into higher $ figures. It's only a matter of time before the FED has to respond in greater actions to drop the $ .. be that interest rates or QE .. the Bond market is screaming that this is coming

Matt,

Is it not the KZT/USD rate which matters given the earnings are all dollar denominated yet costs are locally incurred?

31.50-32.75 spread suggests a tick up imminent....hopefully a rising share price will attract a few more buyers (and a tighter spread too)

the 99,999 was uncrossing opening auction...so buy/sell matched

A 100k sell is peanuts, again outweighed by buyers.

Very annoying. If I was the house broker I would be speaking to the seller in order to manage better the sale of their shares, putting them into safe hands. This constant drip into the market gives us a wonderful opportunity to build a large position but there comes a time when you've bought all you want. Hey ho more patience required.
