14/6/2018 12:41 | ‘Significant&r Numis Securities believes Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA) offers ‘significant value opportunity’ for investors willing to be patient with the fund management giant. Analyst David McCann retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 452p on the stock, which eased 1%, or 3.6p, lower to 350.6p. He updated his forecasts for the return of capital, additional cost savings, and debt and said the market was ‘materially undervaluing Standard Life Aberdeen and we believe it offers a significant value opportunity to patient investors’. However, he noted that the ‘catalysts may not be short term’ and ‘patient shareholders will be well rewarded after a period of time as further disposals, associated return of capital might be made as the investment cash evolves to that of a pure play asset manager’. | speedsgh
11/6/2018 22:03 | Big buyer mmm | joshuam
11/6/2018 10:08 | Looks good to me as a buy. Unfortunately got Legal and General and Aviva already so over- represented in this sector. Fwiw I think the price to book is the most attractive feature of Standard just now. | stewart64

04/6/2018 09:00 | i just bought a few taking me overweight from my target holding. This based on the cash return will taking me back to my target holding, and the fact that much of the cash return will be reinvested in sla, and the company share buyback after the cash return, and it looks cheap with a high and growing divi. Enough reasons for me. | pierre oreilly |
