Just bought in here this morning (5000 shares @ 84.15 on a T20). Looks undervalued to me but may need time to recover. Will hold for a minimum 12 months and expect this to be well over £1.

All the listed bus companies are priced way below their long term average and median values.

This won't last as they are seen as structurally important for the UK as they represent the backbone of public transport and are significantly supported by local and national Uk government. And that quite aside from the fact that they have remained profitable throughout the pandemic.

Things have a habit of reverting to the mean.

Boris sees no evidence in the data to push the date back. It was all about taking the stress off of the NHS... Well they're not under Covid related stress at present, and I don't see it returning unless some as yet unknown vicious strain emerges.. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting bigger and bigger

News today... Significant chance government will not be ending lockdown rules in June as variants increase.

Yes I'm not in disagreement however this company is much better positioned to return a good EPS due to the lack of a dilution and paying down debt last year.Also it should be noted they are out of trains the others are only getting out.SGC is a favourite of mine for the recovery and a long term hold....A few new contract announcements and this will fly.

That was from the last financial report. The point is that the historic dividend is irrelevant going forward.

Jeffian : When you get a chance read the last financial report. They have been paying down debt during Covid. Also they had no dilution unlike the rest.Well positioned for the pick up. A big hold for me.

Well they don't pay any dividend at the moment and I shouldn't assume they'll go back to paying at the former rate when they do.

"Given the continuing uncertainties caused by the impact of COVID-19, we are not planning an interim dividend in respect of the six months ended 31 October 2020. We recognise the importance of dividends to many shareholders and it is our ambition to resume dividend payments in due course when supported by appropriate profit and cash flow generation, relative to our net debt and pension liabilities."

Yes they pay a smashing dividend pre-covid. I'm taking some profit from BCN and have a top up here.

Opportunity here now.

As buses are strategic for society much revenue comes from contracts with local councils rather than just fares.

Current pricing looks like it is the end of buses. Well all of us go back on the buses in the end.

Aspers... I bought a tranche yesterday however I intend buying another tranche maybe Tuesday. I have zero concerns about SGC as they are one of the few getting government support during Covid .Green energy/public transport is the future.This one for the pension pot in my eyes.

Cleverinvestor.....I am still waiting for the dust to settle after yesterdays RNS. I think it has really spooked the market and with their intention to off load another 20% albeit in the next 10 years who is to say next week is not within that 10 year cycle.
As I said yesterday on LSE once the dust settles I will be loading up again.......not sure how much dust to fall yet!!! Sometimes it pays to sit on your hands.

people go back in the pub, go back to shops and back to work and travel to see family and friends as we open up and confidence returns. They will make many of these trips on buses.

Aspers I have been in and out of here since 36p but will keep this one now and go long. I have enough cash now so don't need to take any more profits.The drop today was my chance to get back in.I'm also staying long in CNA.Just looking looking at some mining stocks now.

Cleverinvestor.......I don't miss much because I have been invested here when I dumped most of my holding in your favourite dog CNA back in November to load up in travel stocks......this was one of the best buys picking it up at 43p. I am still happy to hold, will be interesting to see where we go but as BS and AG want to off load another 20% of their holding over the next 10 years. I have had them in the back of the aircraft on occasions doing a quick dash to Palma....maybe they are planning a bigger home in the sun?
