Good to see price consolidating above breakout price, and yet another positive trading statement from another company in the Electronics sector.

The spread's annoying, but the underlying business here with its focus now on electronic hardware components and the growth plus outlook for the business is reason to buy. The sector as a whole is delivering the numbers and this looks cheap to me. I believe its got a long way to go yet imo.

spread on FSG was 10% at 50p before it went to 138.50/140p

Should breakout from this point with a bit of luck. Glad iadded a few more yesterday. Spread is awful and you do have to pay up, but dont see that as a problem myself. As Interceptor2 says above, when/if this goes it will move quite a chunk at a time imo.

I did have a small top up at the break out, but had to pay the full 75p. the price held above the breakout with more buyers coming in, but importantly no selling at all. It's significant because it means there is no overhead resistance, and if we see buying volume from now on, the shares could advance some distance.

yep, the spread won't get much better either imo. It is a virtual spread tho in that if you buy the bid usually ticks up on your trade or the next one.

Awful spread CR.

In lieu of the XPP and fairly recent PFL results/TU's, SDM looking well left behind. Starting to catch up with a long way to go imo.

Tried to get more today as these are breaking out - no volume about at all - think I've got 5k.

Trading update next month - should be rather good imo.

Chart looking positive now just passed the break out point. Looking at the buying since last Thursday, if sellers dont appear at this point then we should see a strong advance.

I actually shed a few VLX today and reinvested here. Still think VLX will do very well, but it's become a much too big a proportion of my portfolio (having started buying at 31p and then regularly all the way up). As noted by several posters above, SDM seems the odd one out in this sector. I'm also long on XPP>

I think we just use a similar selection criteria, most times I find a company often I find the same posters on the thread like yourself, saucepan, cr, glasshalfull, dasv, simon gordon and others.

But well done on XPP, it makes sense to look for others in the same sector, I know nothing is guaranteed but SDM does look an obvious undervaluation, and I'm fairly overweighted here.

Also holding VLX in this sector.

APC is interesting, but only on my watchlist at present.

Ic2 - Im not following you around i promise, but have bought in today just a small amount @73p.

I own a stash of XPP and the excellent T/S there today highlights the value that is apparent in the Electronics sector. SDM remains extremely undervalued in my eyes and many other good investors who use the ADVFN boards.

I think the XPP trading statement is slowly having an effect, another 20k @ 71p just gone through to nudge the price up a little more.

Chart looks interesting with 74p which could act as a trigger once passed.

XPP ahead trading statement today, and price surging.

SDM are a great undervalued play in this sector, with a break out target at 74p. Brokers are forecasting 7.3p EPS which was reduced from 8.1p in September, even after SDM said in June they expected to be significantly ahead in June without the plastics division.

Results are due early March, and I would expect an ahead trading statement mid to late February. 9.0p looks very likely imo.
