All of the analysts disagree with albanyvillas. Results in at top end. I think this will push towards 350 in coming months.

eps of 3p this is bonkers expensive

it is always difficult to predict the precise timing of the opening of these new units. Whilst a degree of uncertainty always exists around global political events and passenger numbers in the short term

It is going to be a huge challenge with circa 10,000 people being paid well below the impending minimum wage. They have some cards up their sleeve though. Unlike wh smith who have extensive self service rollout, ssp have none and i am reliably informed this is on the agenda. Also they are going to offset the higher cost of adults by hiring more teenagers and "apprentices".Also with their competitors facing the same challenges the industry is going to maintain its margins by increasing prices.

They won't be paying £9 per hour for several years yet and while one or two destinations such as Paris may have temporary falls in numbers they are in 29 countries and overall passenger numbers are only going one way.

I think the economics of the way SSP run is to keep staff levels constant or by reductions within the business and combine workload by moving staff around and filling gaps.
I suspect that the management have this under control and will find inventive ways of maintaining the positive outcome.

do worry about the worry of passenger volumes next year falling very sharply and the living wage cutting into their margins

paying £9 an hour will be a killer
