16/7/2018 17:22 | @WU/Sicker. According to my notes: Thursday 19th July = SSE AGM + Q1 Trading Statement, + spin-off effective date @ 1:1. | jrphoenixw2
16/7/2018 17:17 | whatsup32, I believe you mean next month | sicker
16/7/2018 16:37 | Dividends next week 66p. Plus looks like demerging the business will go through soon . If there is no political upheavals then we should have a nice run up. | whatsup32
10/7/2018 12:00 | true enough, need a bit of strong and stable governance ;~! (oh that will be ok, just realised TM is still PM) | bountyhunter
10/7/2018 10:30 | Which won't help share price here as more uncertainty and Corbyn spectre appearing again. | wad collector
09/7/2018 18:45 | Back from work and caught up now! I suspect Boris has left the door wedged open and the heat will drive TM out before long. | bountyhunter
09/7/2018 15:48 | Is he holding the door open for Theresa or has he already gone through? (not read the news this afternoon!) | bountyhunter
09/7/2018 15:43 | Boris is the last one. | alphorn
09/7/2018 15:36 | has someone else resigned since 2pm? they can't get out the door quick enough! ;-) | bountyhunter
09/7/2018 15:26 | sp dipping on the resignation news? | alphorn
06/7/2018 15:24 | just had a quick check, actually done better than that as I didn't realise the value was so much lower 10 years ago! | bountyhunter
06/7/2018 15:21 | if I had had a 20% uplift and ~5% divi per year = > 70% return + compounding on my entire portfolio over the last 10 years I would be quite happy although I appreciate there are no guarantees going forwards | bountyhunter
06/7/2018 14:01 | topvest - Yes, have halved my holding, also held for 10 years. The yield is important to me, if MergeCo. don't pay any divi I shall have to dump them. In fact my portfolio is due an adjustment as ISAT might go any time soon and one or two others need looking at. | losos
06/7/2018 09:36 | I'm out of these at my £14 price target. Held for nearly 10 years and only 20% higher. Obviously a good yield, but looks a potential value trap going forward. They are certainly not creating much value at all. | topvest
06/7/2018 08:07 | Ex dividend on 26th July @66.30p | skinny

04/7/2018 10:45 | FWIW I received this notification from my broker this morning: 'Spin-Off SSE@LSE SSE@LSE (Name: SSE PLC) announced a spin-off effective 20180719. The terms of the spin-off are 1 : 1. Please note that this action is a mandatory action.' I'm quoting this here as I don't see this mentioned in the info in the headers^. It appears to supersede this above^: 'Completion of this transaction is subject to necessary shareholder and regulatory approvals' | jrphoenixw2
02/7/2018 11:19 | Call- hopefully timed well. Good luck | whatsup32
29/6/2018 21:24 | Up 9p first thing closed down 2p . I’m hoping for a run up to x div on the 26th. It’s a decent pay out so let’s see | whatsup32
28/6/2018 19:37 | Whatever the semantics I agree they will aim to pay a dividend and with the likely cost savings from the combined entity believe this should be quite possible. | bountyhunter
28/6/2018 19:29 | I see it as a straight demerger from SSS point of view but taking on Npowers struggling retail side to preserve jobs and the outcry which might have arisen with a sale of the retail business. | bobby12340
28/6/2018 18:51 | ...and year end March 2018 finished over 3 months ago so no anticipation required there! For performance of MergeCo once formed we will need to wait and see, no doubt there will be some synergies and economies of scale as well as personnel cost savings or why bother with a merger of interests? If just to get rid of the bad bits a straight demerger or sale would have sufficed. | bountyhunter
28/6/2018 18:42 | If SSE could make around £220m from their retail sidelast year then with them owning 2/3 of the NEWCO surely they will make it profitable and look to pay a dividend | bobby12340 |
