I imagine any progress on SRT's Bahrain flagship project will be played down....and ditto re Saudi....

No real comparison with SCE - Their customers/potential customers are private companies as is their main competitor who has a technically inferior product

SRT's potential contract customers are States with all the associated political baggage and apparent new significant technologies being developed (thinking of satellites and vision/radar from space)

Absolutely ;-)

Although if that collected the rampant herd, there would be that old decision of whether to sell if the share price got inflated.

Can you let me know where I can get a ‘lend and pretend’ arrangement like that?

They have rolled over £415k at 8% to 2024 and presumably have repaid £600k of the debt.

Debt needs regular cashflow-that means contracts with long tails

I don't think any of us would have been at a debt investors' presentation.

If there was any positive news I’m sure we would here about it!

Just a guess but some of the recent enthusiasm may have come from the repayment of the loan note. It is hard to see if it was rolled over as yet. Investors who were repaid will be happy about the company's cash position or if it was rolled over some sort of positive presentation might have been required.

doesn't the big triangle thing on the chart over the last 18 months mean either the share price is about to break out north, or break out south. or something?

hopefully some signed contracts soon.....

please....

Another link for the Guardian, this time the use of Blockchain to guarantee the provenance of fish catch. Imagine if SRT added Blockchain to their name. Surely that would give the share price a boost while we wait for the contracts to be signed :))

Interesting Piedro. They as much as admit that they can't receive the AIS signals reliably but have to supplement it with VHF. Why bother with the AIS then? Tracking by a Coast Guard vessel at sea?

Was not SRT involved in the early stages?

I doubt there will be much of a dash for the exit for fear of missing out-don’t underestimate that factor after many years of VSP chat

If you're all going to withdraw together, it certainly won't be graceful.

If it's zero by the end of September, you probably won't be the only one withdrawing gracefully.

Pinkfoot, thank you, good points well made :)

That fits with my sizing as my SCE holding is about 5x my SRT, the latter being a recent initial position but still big enough for it to matter in the event of a commercial breakthrough.

Given the things Simon Tucker said last time, I will judge it by the number of contracts in place by end of September. If it’s zero, I’ll probably withdraw gracefully!

It does have some echoes of SCE but on the latter, the global market was proven and is dominated by one player in Brembo. We have yet to see the SRT market as evidenced by the regular chat about the VSP.

SCE also had a very low market cap but took off with contracts.SRT market cap anticipates contracts already in my view.

The key difference for me therefore is the marketplace. We know the brake market in cars is vast and ripe for a new entrant, particularly with EV where weight is everything. What we don’t know in the SRT marketplace is whether it’s as big as made out.

One other thing-SCE raised a lot of money on the last placing, basically hugely oversubscribed, and essentially to create more capacity for existing and expected contracts.SRT has continually raised money to fill a hole in cashflow. There is a big difference between the two.

We all want SRT to succeed-British company etc.But it needs to break through the hope

Pinkfoot, doesn’t this all have echoes of Surface Transforms a couple of years back? Eventually, the contracts came after what seemed like an interminable wait. As you have a solid holding there too, I am interested in how you see the comparison. Genuine question as I hold both these stocks myself.

Same old chat CM-where are these contracts?Whats happened to the impaired 2017 contract?

I doubt Finncap will have seen anything beyond management presentations on which to base their forecasts. They certainly won’t have been verified.

We all want this to succeed but time moves on

Broker (FinnCap) will have seen all of the paperwork relating to near term contracts. They are predicting EBITDA of £10 million pa over the next 2.5 years for a company with a market cap of £57 million. Tax losses C/F?
