If it's zero by the end of September, you probably won't be the only one withdrawing gracefully.

Pinkfoot, thank you, good points well made :)

That fits with my sizing as my SCE holding is about 5x my SRT, the latter being a recent initial position but still big enough for it to matter in the event of a commercial breakthrough.

Given the things Simon Tucker said last time, I will judge it by the number of contracts in place by end of September. If it’s zero, I’ll probably withdraw gracefully!

It does have some echoes of SCE but on the latter, the global market was proven and is dominated by one player in Brembo. We have yet to see the SRT market as evidenced by the regular chat about the VSP.

SCE also had a very low market cap but took off with contracts.SRT market cap anticipates contracts already in my view.

The key difference for me therefore is the marketplace. We know the brake market in cars is vast and ripe for a new entrant, particularly with EV where weight is everything. What we don’t know in the SRT marketplace is whether it’s as big as made out.

One other thing-SCE raised a lot of money on the last placing, basically hugely oversubscribed, and essentially to create more capacity for existing and expected contracts.SRT has continually raised money to fill a hole in cashflow. There is a big difference between the two.

We all want SRT to succeed-British company etc.But it needs to break through the hope

Pinkfoot, doesn’t this all have echoes of Surface Transforms a couple of years back? Eventually, the contracts came after what seemed like an interminable wait. As you have a solid holding there too, I am interested in how you see the comparison. Genuine question as I hold both these stocks myself.

Same old chat CM-where are these contracts?Whats happened to the impaired 2017 contract?

I doubt Finncap will have seen anything beyond management presentations on which to base their forecasts. They certainly won’t have been verified.

We all want this to succeed but time moves on

Broker (FinnCap) will have seen all of the paperwork relating to near term contracts. They are predicting EBITDA of £10 million pa over the next 2.5 years for a company with a market cap of £57 million. Tax losses C/F?

We have had a buyer or buyers for a while now trying to accumulate under the radar with 25 / 50k buys most days just mopping up the weaker holders sales. I guess this mornings 70k buy just made folks sit up and take notice of a £25k bet.

I say follow the money and you will hopefully reap the benefits!

Depends on the size of the tanker...and the specs of the pumps....;->

Less flippantly, IIRC, the vessels involved in 'irregularities' of this type were usually quite small, say 10,000-25,000 dwt. I remember being told 2-3 days was par.

My understanding is based on the situation 15-20 years ago (maybe longer, now that I think about it) and may have been overtaken by events/technology/ SRT (as you suggest !).

Maybe I'm being a bit thick but that means that the double appears to go out to sea to a spot and then turn round to go to an oil terminal (being full of what?) then turn back to an irrelevant part of the sea only to go back to where it started out from originally. If that is not immediately suspicious I don't know what is.

Or have I got it wrong?

Seems CM has become evangelical-trouble is he could have written that piece 2,3,4 years ago-same script.

Where are the contracts?

Imminently so. It is not due to be in service for four years - to which add the usual delays. Let's hope that SRT will have plenty of installed systems to showcase itself before then.

From the BBC:
"A new national flagship is to be commissioned by the government in a bid to boost British trade and industry globally, the prime minister has said"
"The new vessel would be used to promote British interests around the world - including hosting trade fairs and diplomatic meetings - as the UK seeks to build links and boost exports following Brexit."
.....

I hope this prestigious new vessel will be equipped with the finest AIS transponder(s) and that SRT will make an early enquiry for inclusion at sales events when the flagship visits the maritime nations of the world.
The perfect platform to showcase this unique British company.

If there are a lot of preservatives in it, you need to be worried :-)
