While we're waiting for concrete news, I'm interested in Gerihatrick's comment from Mello:

"Of the 4 contracts that were described to be in an advanced state, one is now in and 3 still to come"

Has this ones that's 'in' been RNS'd while I was asleep? I seem to remember that companies are meant to RNS anything that's material, which I thought was defined as something that would make a 10% or greater difference to expectations. Assuming this hasn't been RNS'd, does this mean that this is a very small contract?

gerihatrick, turnover of £20m would be disappointing for me, but very good for the share price.

Yump - you complain when I post and you complain when I don't - make up your mind!

I only posted in response to this

Suddenly all the posts about trouble with cashflow and possible placings have disappeared ! So nothing new there"

If you don't want responses stop making your rather childish comments aimed at other posters and stick to discussing SRT's Opportunities and Threats as per the header!

It always surprises me how some posters have a Pavlovian response. Usually accompanied by a selection of cliches ('risk off' LOL) and various repetitions that would get them buzzed after 3 seconds on the subject of 'the best share strategy' on just a minute.

Worked well with a few in the past. Make the post and sure enough...

Or is it really Pavlovian ? Only the silence, if I'm correct has happened during the 20-30p rise. Odd that.

Yump - Not everyone feels the need to post every day! when nothing has changed!
I stand by my previous post noting that 30p+ now achieved (another 40% profit for risk off traders who bought the ahead of expectations TS 3 weeks back)

"DJ Trading - 12 Apr 2018 - 18:32:05 - 6727 of 6771
Moving forwards there are clearly cash issues undisclosed to the market and a Contract also not RNSd to the market (why not?) + delayed results (why?). I'm assuming some sort of fundraising (loan notes or equity or both)in the next couple of months before results published. (Most of course unaware of the cash issue so price likely to continue to push up through 30p over the next few weeks)"

30p+ achieved with the in line (but ahead of expectations) TS, the Philippines pump and Indonesian Ports Contract teasers although presentations to potential customers on SRT's gallery doesn't suggest cash is imminent nor likely this year (and why teasers and not an RNS!) perhaps others presenting?

But as this is more visible to the market than the additional loan notes repayable in just 7 weeks there might be a little more in the price yet. A risk off strategy though would suggest selling in early May until Contract or Funding news released via RNS. (My guess is that they will come together)

My take from Mello 2018. Interestingly nearly 1m shares were traded on the first day of the conference and the share price went up 3p.....someone was happy with what they heard! ST presented the 2nd day...Friday pm. The contract process is political and hence has a long scale cycle. He has "missed" forecasts in the past and is now very conservative/careful with his predictions. Current forecast is a t/o of £20m. Growth will come from "systems" sales, currently 14 in the pipeline worth over £200m; Emtrak sales of AIS to leisure and commercial; and supply of AIS modules to OEMs. An OEM contract was lost to a Chinese supplier and they are now likely to return after difficulties. Of the 4 contracts that were described to be in an advanced state, one is now in and 3 still to come. Most countries in the ME with a coastline got a mention but Bahrain is the only one happy to be named and they are planning a further upgrade of their system. They are certainly a good demonstrator site. The share price rise would suggest that confidence is returning and I liked the explanation of what it does is to develop a traffic control system...only in the case it is for boats on the oceans rather than planes in the sky. I hold

AE

The upload is dated Feb 2017. They often idealize what has actually happened in these marketing blurbs and can get away with it citing confidentiality. ST's reply to Extrader in the header speaks only of two large scale projects actually done, Bahrain and Mexico - for the latter SRT only supplied the Identifiers.

Now that I think about, some plonker on here got excited when that very 'case study' was mentioned on SRT's news section back in February last year. I dismissed both it and him at the time, if memory serves.

So, puff and old puff at that I am afraid.

YUMYUM, I think not. Last year it was a prospect, not a contracted project according to info published at the AGM. Now it is a case study of an implemented project.

There is a case study on the SRT website about the supply of a VMS system for a South American fishing fleet.

It looks to me to be Ecuador and the more detailed download version says:

"Today the customer is able to reliably monitor its national fishing fleet and enhance its management and efficiency of the local fisheries. Additional functionality and capability is already being planned, which is easily implemented on top of the existing system: thus ensuring the customer has a future-proof system.

I can find no announcement of the signing of a contract here. At the last AGM it was listed as a $21m VMS in the VSP. SRT said that there had been "extensive trials and discussions over the last 18 months".

In the last half year report, no mention was made of South America so I assume the supply of this system is more recent. However the absence of a RNS puzzles me. Even if the value so far was small, surely it is significant news. Can anyone shed light on this?
