This is what La vValmy had to say mid 2016 :

....More prosaically, I was looking to add more today which would have breached the 3% limit. Not that the sofa money has showed up yet, but that I just want to get the TR1 out of the way. I only need 3 shares, but didn't want punters to get the idea that whoever was pushing prices up today was some new large purchaser. I will probably buy my three shares on a calm day, and then add on the dips.

You will know it is me, because the notification will be from the La Valmy Trust, and it would be too much of a coincidence!

Unfortunately mandated national project announcements bear no correlation to SRT's financial year end.
This is a significant weakness in the business model and until a number of projects run simultaneously, position weighting needs to reflect this fact.

two and a half months ago at the interim stage they said:

'Many are now at an advanced stage with four, two in the Middle East and two in Asia, with an aggregate value of GBP60 million, appearing to be in the final stages prior to contracting'

Looks like that 'final stage' is proving rather difficult to get over.

Two short months left to y/e. Lots of news on the VSP was expected in H2, but nothing to date. Usual corrosive effect on sentiment and share price
Webcast due in February, so I hope ST has some concrete evidence of progress by then.

Our satellite maker is being sold, so says the BBC in December:

"Miniature satellite maker Clyde Space is being bought by a Swedish space tech company in a deal worth £26m.
AAC Microtec is acquiring the Glasgow-based firm under a share sale and purchase agreement.
The deal will see AAC own 100% of shares in the Scottish firm. After completion of the acquisition, Clyde Space's owners will hold 49% of AAC.
Clyde Space said the transaction would create "a global-leading company" in the small and nanosatellite markets.
The deal is expected to be completed at the end of January."

Philippines contract - does appear to be SRT specific, but even if SRT win the bid, the big question is how much delay there will be in getting any money. Implementation time line appears to indicate rapid start, but Govt departments being generally slow, will ensure delays. Lets hope not too long!

Given that the bidder has to be French, I am not sure that very many will have bid. Furthermore, it looks less like a bid document than a description of a contract which has already been agreed in essence. The question is, surely, how much of the €28,520,000 will flow to SRT, as much of it seems to be SRT specific.

A detailed reading of the recent Philippines contract (see 6247) reveals the complexity and the amount of work required to merely apply for this very substantial contract. No doubt there will have been several global companies hoping to compete for it. The SRT sales team, headed by ST will have spent numerous weeks/ months working in conjunction with the Philippine authorities trying to encourage them as to the correct technical way forward. Will the contract go to SRT? Time will tell. However, and I note a minority of critical comments on this site, I am incredibly grateful to the work of this dedicated team. Not only does ST drive the sales efforts around the world but he also has to ensure that all the other company 'plates' stay up in the air. If the share price gets to 125p, he certainly deserves his options.
