What's startling is why someone like you hasn't got anything better to do as you clearly shouldn't be invested, if indeed you are. If you are and have genuinely been negative about SRT, then selling out on a spike would have been sensible and would have given you piles of credibility. Still being here invested and negative means you've blundered big time.

Perhaps you've made so much money by making shrewd investments that you've got loads of time to spend giving free advice, so we should all be placing great value on what you post. Or not.

At least you're not giving advice to people that really need it, thank goodness.

confidence and credibility ebbing away on a daily basis.Tucker has failed to deliver on expectation for 10 years, so I suppose we should not be a surprised. How on earth he hasn't been sacked is startling!

Well its such a tricky one isn't it ? So I'm MD and I discover that a big contract that I got some more people in for, is being delayed at least for a year... what to do... ?

I could keep them all on and then explain to shareholders who complain about the pointless cost, that I'm just that sort of a generous guy.

Or perhaps its something else. Or not.

I won't be buying in until I see evidence of the big orders. Until that time I expect the share price to drift slowly down below 30p, may be touching 20p if nothing arrives within the next two months.

The problem they have of course is twofold. On patrol and/or operations, the last thing they want is for others to know where they are which is fair enough. I suspect that nowadays there is also the real danger that the sort of madmen that we've seen in Manchester/Paris/London etc, wouldn't think twice about driving a boat full of explosives into a US destroyer if they could identify it by AIS. That being said, surely there is also a real risk of collision in busy sea channels such as those surrounding Singapore i.e. some people worry about meeting a murderer on the way home at night, but are thousands of times more likely to get run over in the street.

So much for AIS and Singapore

Collision between the USS John S MCain and Alnic MC a Liberian oil tanker off Singapore with at least 5 injured and 10 missing. Once again perhaps this trengthens the argument for AIS, although the military probably wouldn't want it.

No problems Techno20.Yes, it has been a long and frustrating journey to date. There has been tangible progress along the way , but I agree with you, those deals need to be converted. With four 'near term' I hope SRT are able to convert at least two of them in the next few months. No reason why not.

AV - Perhaps on reflection my comments were overly harsh. I've been invested (heavily, for me) here for over 5 years and wouldn't have stayed unless I was a believer in SRT and ST, in particular.

However, its been a frustrating journey. The buses have not arrived to schedule and the mega bus disappeared over the horizon taking our money with it! Friday's (c.£200k) deal was great to see, but, in reality, given the work clearly involved in winning it, I wonder whether, when full costs are attributed it'll make the business money. Given the prolonged timeframes and work involved on international deals, how much of the VSP is viable??

Think the management changes announced last week were needed and will hopefully provide ST the support & impetus he needs to drive the business forward.

I'm here for the long term, but the talk of "£60m of imminent deals" and "managing multiple projects" will wear thin unless ST starts converting. techno

For many on here SRT don't need to do anything to 'restore credibility'.They have that in spades, of that there is no doubt.

Looks like positive coverage in the Mail. Won't harm sentiment, but ST needs to deliver on at least one of the 4 imminent deals to restore some credibility (and soon!).

The only point I would make in terms of income is that a 12-month unfunded trial can eat up money and time. I'm sure it's something ST is very aware of, but obviously srt needs to ensure that bidding costs don't get out of hand.

I think Bahrain is the key deal at the moment.

"the world’s largest single deployment of AIS AtoN"
- suggests that it will receive some trade press coverage, so we'll find out which European waterway it is.
As and when that information comes into the public domain, SRT's press and PR department (is there one?) should maximise press coverage. Raising the public profile of this little Midsummer Norton business is overdue IMO.

I asked the question at the last webcast done by ST about Aton's which hadn't been referred to at the AGM either in the presentation or in the material given to us at the AGM. Today's announcement is a pleasant surprise that Aton sales are a likely stream of useful revenue and profits for SRT.

...and once those are installed then it is tempting to stick with what you know for future orders.

Does anyone have the Finncap note from this morning ? The TW website says (quoting from the brokers note) "we anticipate that the contract is worth up to 0.2m". Is that right ? That is only 1,000 GBP per ATON which is lower than figures mentioned here before.

Were any other details mentioned ?

Nice liquidity. Perfect time for those who have given up on SRT to get out.

I stay in. Waiting for the takeover. 75p would not be nearly high enough for me.
