12/7/2002 10:30 | last man standing 8p Not as dire a hit as some people and in no way am I gloating, far from it. I was mugged like the rest of us. Like previous members have said, I've written the money off (ouch it hurt) therefore I have nothing further to lose in seeing which direction the share goes. I've also will get 40% of the losses back when I put them against my wins in capital gains tax for next year's returns. | philwalker36
11/7/2002 16:14 | Phil what did you pay for them... | lastmanstanding
11/7/2002 16:12 | No way will I sell. I've 55000 and it's worth £55 to wind them up. I agree with a previous sentiment, are these shares going to emerge from the ashes ? Probably not but for the sake of £55 it's got to be worth a gamble. Why are they suddenly interested in acquiring suc a large amount of this stock ? Is somebody trying to make a killing, perhaps there is more value in what remains in the company than we thought, but maybe not! | philwalker36
10/7/2002 09:44 | Probably Cathy Baines trying to close a short. | leeshindig
10/7/2002 08:42 | Nothing to get excited about then... Thanks for the reply. | andreso
10/7/2002 08:31 | A tenth of a penny per share by Trafalgar Catalyst. | gulliverr
10/7/2002 08:27 | Hello what offer type of offers? I thought my shares and my money had long gone. can anyone advise what is going on please? | andreso
10/7/2002 07:13 | is comdirect offering to every shareholder, why didn't I (with imiweb) receive any offer | mayiguo
09/7/2002 20:53 | SWD Holders : You have all written your investments off - please DON`T sell out short now. Dutch Auctions are the basis of trade & barter but hey, I`m not Dutch. Jack. | jack daniel
09/7/2002 19:21 | I've got until 26 July 02 to make a decision. Thats with Selftrade. No way I'm going to sell at that price. However, why would they need 10 million shares? It would cost them £10,000 which in this day and age is spectacularly cheap for a large corporation. What are the chances of these shares being relaunched back on the market when SWD remerges from the receivers? | astircs609
09/7/2002 18:00 | Dixi. It is £33.00, as you say a waste of time. If we all hold out perhaps they will up the offer! | birchin
09/7/2002 17:08 | They can stuff there offer where the sun don't shine!!!!!!! NO way will I be selling at that price. | birchin
09/7/2002 16:22 | What happens if they can't find any shares to buy | crate
09/7/2002 16:22 | dixi Is it £33 or £3.30? | jeffmack
09/7/2002 16:13 | That's nice of them! I rather stupidly still own 33,000 SWD shares (I have taken a good profit from here too). For this I could get what about £33? If it is shorters - they should have covered when they could - like I should have got out! | dixi
09/7/2002 16:12 | My understanding is that if anyone was short selling SWD prior to the suspension, they need to buy the shares back to cover their position. To do this they approach existing holders and offer a nominal sum. | jeffmack
09/7/2002 16:05 | I agree, just had the same message through myself. I'm not giving my shares to them. I'd already written the money off anyway, so let's see what happens.... | james75
09/7/2002 15:44 | I agree gulliverr. I think I'll take the chance that I'll get more than 0.1p back from sale of assets. These folk must reckon/know that assets are worth more than this. | matto
09/7/2002 12:55 | I notice as action type it is described as Scheme of Arrangement. Anyone know whether this has any significance? | matto |
