SPD profits are suffering from a weak pound but one would assume finish line would be benefiting from a strong dollar. Looking at analyst estimates it looks very cheap.

Yet still on sale at half the price of all time high.

FINL did finish down 8.2% but did notice that the volume picked up at the end of the day. Even though MA will have to give the top price paid for the shares if he was to make a bid surely he would have been sniffing around for stock near the close of business this evening.I see Trump has let someone else go.Will he see out a full term ???

Useless 23Thanks for that sir. I had to give them a chance and I'm sure we will all be able to get back in at some stage and prosper. You asked about Hikma and my reasoning . When you look at SPD,GLEN and HIK they all have something in common and that's the CEO's who have a vested interest in the company. They actually buy shares in their own company and are not just handed free shares.I always go for companies that are slightly out of favour but maybe HIK could be one stock to many but I'll have to wait and see. Jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire come to mind. Hope your other investments are going well.Have a nice weekend.

Congratulations Nortic for making money here. I messed up and sold at the beginning of the rise. Hence the name. Only stock I hold at the moment is GMD. Waiting for the market to fall to pick up some bargains. What draws you to Hikma? Is the ticker HIK?

I'm still in from as low as 270. I'm smart enough to know that I'm not smart enough to time it down and back up again. I'll consider setting a SL and hold until agm before any decisions.

I think that you speak for a lot on here who would like a cheaper price point so that they can buy in cheaper. Hence you are walking the share price down a little and who can blame you. I admire your honesty. I hope you get it. My feeling is though that you may not.

Since 2012 SPD has grown sales by 76% over the last 5 years compared to Next's 19% (Next is nearest rival in terms of Market cap) . That turnover figure is going to jump again from here on the strength of all the recent acquisitions . MA will not be denied his ambition of being the largest clothing retailer the UK. it is inevitable.

Unavailable, I am normally long SPD and sold all my holding slightly too early. I think long term this could be worth more than the current share price, I just haven't seen enough evidence of the turnaround yet. Lots of risk, weak pound, difficult retail environment, unpredictable MA etc etc. The price has raced up too quickly and I think that despite the shorts, lots of holders will be waivering over the sell button above £4. Hence my view that I can get back in for the long term at 50p or more lower.

SPD a strong sell to me at this price, it's gone up too quickly on the back of one announcement that was not quite as bad as expected and on the back of shorts closing a little in a thin summer market. Back under £4 soon I think and a buying opportunity nearer £3.50.
