Spire Healthcare Group plc (LSE: SPI), a leading UK independent hospital group, is pleased to provide a trading update for the financial year ended 31 December 2018. The Company expects to report revenue of c.GBP931 million and EBITDA before exceptional and other items of between GBP119 and GBP120 million.

Spire's cash position has improved year-on-year following continued strong cash conversion, with net debt reduced to approximately GBP457 million and a year end net debt to EBITDA ratio of less than 3.7 times.

The Company achieved good strategic progress during 2018. As at 31 December 2018 76% of Spire's hospitals were rated Outstanding or Good by the CQC, up from 67% at the previous year end. There was also momentum in private payor growth.

Spire will announce Full Year Results on 28 February 2019 together with strategic and operational progress reports and guidance for the current financial year.
