Not great when it was £3.60 not long ago.The article does indicate there could be competing bidders.

Thanks for sharing dendria. Could be getting interesting here! I picked up a few a couple of trading days ago as it seemed that something was unfolding..... £3.20 would do me nicely for a short term trade :-)

Sunday Times 22 Oct 17

'Spire faces £1.3bn bid from South African healthcare provider Mediclinic International'.

Could be an offer about 320p?

I am looking 300p here on that bowl too.

A nice bowl-shaped recovery chart - almost a double bottom but timescales very short - looks like the gap to 300p+ could be filled very quickly.

why you say that? i sold out too soon? i bought real shares, no leverage. held for a month and under-water all that time until today. shame that the only profit i made only covered the stamp duty i paid. but there are other shares i'm watching so i have funds available for trades elsewhere.

to think share price was sub 220p only a few days ago. very good bounce today on no news that i know of.

If you sold out at 244 I think you're using too much leverage city

This was trading above 400p as recently as September last year and not a whole lot has changed. Demand for private healthcare will only grow in time and as the NHS becomes increasingly privatised. Strong bid rumours for over a year now also.

I'm in at 2.30 this morning first thing. A bit of a punt for me, but ageing population, strain on NHS, people living longer etc make this an appealing sector.

Stability probably went out the window when it dropped like a stone in mid-Sept. The +ve's are a new, highly qualified CEO, who's also already buying in in good volumes; plus institutions re-engaging, value PI's in good numbers & the solid biz fundamentals... whilst the -ve PR & £comp payment did it's damage in the 40% price fall... Why do you think 260p+ by Xmas? I do hope so.

7% swings in 24hrs for what should be a stable, defensive share is absurd IMO.

I predict 260p+ by Xmas

Truly absurd orchestrated fall IMO and now trading >10% off its NAV/Book Value of 260p
