Unified World Super-Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe will make a hero's return to Wales on July 8 at the Millennium Stadium to defend his titles.

The unbeaten Welshman returns to home soil following his sensational win over Jeff Lacy last month in Manchester when he added the IBF crown to his WBO belt.

The challenger for Calzaghe is to be confirmed but one fighter Calzaghe wants in the opposite corner is brash American James Toney - if he can lose the flab and get back to 168lb!

nice one hirschnathan.....with a tiny market cap of 1.6m and having some possible major fights in the future with the likes of Joe Calzaghe and Amir Khan....one good deal will see the share price fly....hard to see much downside from here unless another boxer leaves the camp....get busy get busy ;-)

Promoter Frank Warren will head to America next week to open talks about WBO/IBF super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe's next fight.


Frank warren:- We had over 17,000 fans at the MEN.
With regard to Williams/Skelton in fact it drew the capacity that the venue was set out for, there were hardly any empty seats.
I think you will find that in this day and age venues are much bigger and we are attracting bigger capacity crowds. In the so called golden era of 60's and 70's big fights were in the Albert Hall which seats 4,000 and Wembley arena which held 10,000. The MEN and ExCel are far larger venues.

Frankwarren.tv has been a big hit with up to 600,000 people hooking up during the match to listen / watch thru frankwarren.tv
Currently, there are more than 9,000 paying members. Membership is extra revenue to sop at very little extra expense. Sop have also expanded their dvd and poster range.
With boxing rising, paying membership growing, sport memrobillia selling, we should have a good year.

SportsNetwork is a relatively newly formed company with a small mkt cap of about £5m. Frank Warren holds about 67% of sop, so very little movement makes the share drift either way.

Total shares in issue: 204,000,000

at 3p gives a mkt cap of £6million

There has been a overhang with Hoodles brennan, trying to shift stock from some clients accounts. As soon as that has been cleared we should sail to new territory.
