Surprise, no boot , the hospitals policy , six wks if you've had it surgically repaired , but 12 if the gap is small enough to repair its self , more a bit of a shock than a surprise, I've put my walking boots of a bit of extra support , of course it's very stiff and I've exercises to do to stretch it and loosen up the joints and ligaments , apparently it take 2 years to get back to where or as good as it's going get . Well done Palace, it's tight down there so there's no let up

ICU patients were upward of 4 million last time I looked , and about a third of those needed blood transfusions, and I believe that a third of all blood transfusions are due to mix of sampling and of course low level bleeding , so one would have thought there's is a ready market for Proxima to pay for itself if not reduce costs , though the theatre staff and recovery staff where is was not ICU , those staff in the theatre will have worked on critical care patients at some stage .

Only hope is that the likes of Manchester Childrens Hospital are still using and liking P4 and that word spreads , failing that win the lottery !

cellis94..
The produce is for the ICU setting..it is an arterial line connection...not a handy blood sampling device...of course they would say that...they would have no need for it where you were....

What's with the new Sphere splodgy logo? Looks like a smudged ink blot! Is this the progress we want to see?

Good 3 for us last night! No need to go jumping out of windows (much as the Blades would like to see) your 6 clear of the danger zone. I wouldn't count on Sphere building anything atm the auto version with lactate wots the point? They ain't bothered selling it seems a total waste of time and money.

Palace , now two late penalty misses , 4 points is a massive loss when things are tight a the bottom , whoever improvement is being made , on the other end Sheffield Wednesday are going from bad to worse , and I can see them going down , hospital on Friday , for leg check , at least another 6 weeks in a boot , they're quite heavy , good do with a lighter model , maybe Sphere could develop one !

Take your point cellis but the UK was never Proximas main focus that was Europe first then the US. That was when people believed P to have a future and would be adopted wholesale. Well that never happened and P may well have missed the boat. We will never know imo as I think news will be tightly controlled by W. Remember when I said someone should buy us cheap and then mothball P? Well Rencken did the job himself! I say again any commercial co that does not have sales as priority no 1 has had it....unless W knows better? You know the old saying " it's better to travel than arrive"....well we hit the buffers back in Sept!

A happyy New Year , one and all I hope this turns around for you over this next 12 months , I mentioned my chat with the medical staff when having my Achilles repaired under a" spinal"and they saw no need for Proxima , giving reason of enough staff in care and recovery units to do what's necessary , so unless patients come in which are almost certain to need transfusion and regular blood gas sampling, then they only see extra costs not savings .

Here's to a good NY to all Sphereholders. My break even of c.5-6 looks as far away as ever, so I'm just hoping the Co is making progress away from the scrutiny of the public mrkts. Much will depend on W and whether he can be bothered with such a small % of his WPCT tied up in Proxima which were led to believe sales are not priority no 1. That does not bode well for a device that was supposed to change the way BGA's was done. I guess in 3 months well be told lactate is progressing and papers are being updated for FDA approval. I very much doubt there will be much sense of urgency. This has potential to wither on the vine unless W can get a sale at a half sensible price.

Finances depending , I'd be a buyer if things go well for P4* , this time next year things might start moving , it's been nearly 12 months since P4 was certificates , so in those 12 months progress should be well forward

Full marks to East Midlands Trsins , arrived at Sheffield station today , my daughter had booked the "assist a passenger " service, with the boot on I might not have managed all those steps over to the other platforms , went to information office and mentioned our name , and a young woman turned up with a wheelchair and via lifts took and on the train , as soon as the train pulled into Derby station a man was waiting with a wheelchair and likewise manoeuvre us to the required pick up point , brilliant service

The company can't operate it, but there's various companies who can so it's not really an excuse. Most likely a paid service. I'll send them a mail with a company I know once I remember their name... JP Jones or Jenkins or something like that.

Shareholder Dealing

The Company had hoped to establish and operate a matched bargain service to enable shareholders wishing to buy and sell Sphere Medical shares to find counterparties. We have received advice that because of MiFID II (the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) it will not be possible for the Company to operate such a service.

Happy Christmas and New Year....:-)

Likewise all the best for xmas and new year to all. We already had our share of good fortune, my old man had a UTI and when they measured bloods had a PSA count of 30(!) 1 - 4 is in normal range, 4+ normally a marker for cancer (prostrate) 10+, cancer is almost a certainty, 30 was off the scale. Had 3 weeks of uncertainty but Doctor rang two days ago with news that PSA back within normal range - elevated level was due to infection.

Way too early to tell the outcome....even if there is one! Shame Proxima looks like going the way of other British inventions that never made it to the World stage. My hope dwindles by the day that i/ we will ever see a return. You may have caught me in a pessimistic mood Dusseldorf, so take what I say with the proverbial.....

Johnlewis79 - indeed. No news, no updates for potentially years. They haven't even pulled fingers out on a matched bargain facility yet. That said I'm ok with that as long as the end result is a multiple of my investment (!)
