23/8/2005 22:21 | Quite like the look of this one though think I should have got in 2-3 weeks ago. Anybody got any thoughts where its going? | woodvale wanderer
23/8/2005 18:56 | old kuqi's been talking this one down to get in at rock bottom prices - wily campaigner! | qut
23/8/2005 14:33 | Kuqi is keeping them for the comical value remember! | spiritbear
13/8/2005 00:39 | qut, you must get over this fixation. I haven't sold out at all. I'm still holding this stuff, and unless the price rises to at least double what it currently stands at, there's no point in me even contemplating a sell off. I see it doesn't take much to make you happy. Keep celebrating, and don't even think about how this massively increased price is still only 40% of what it was six months ago. Please tell me, oh great optimist, when do you think I'll be able to take a minimal loss on my shares by selling at 20p? Next week? Next month? | kuqi
12/8/2005 08:08 | old kuqi sold out a bit prematurely on this one | qut
11/8/2005 13:37 | No I think there looks to have been a bit of a clear out earlier in the week, some decent buying. I bought a few a couple of days ago and cheap offers were not to be seen. | davidblack
11/8/2005 12:56 | Another MM Media Company game ?? | double6
11/8/2005 11:01 | This one has gone up 10% in a couple of days! Looks as if it may have bottomed out. The valuation looks very modest against the NAV on the balance sheet. | davidblack
01/8/2005 21:38 | Kuqi's epitaph - always look on the bright side of life. Sorely missed. | qut
21/7/2005 21:49 | Kuqi - that really takes the biscuit!! | qut
20/7/2005 08:23 | Better now qut? Sums it all up in a nutshell, and even your attention span should manage to cope with that. | kuqi
19/7/2005 14:37 | pass me the smelling salts!! | qut
18/7/2005 19:19 | I'd love to see a takeover bid, but in all honesty, what is there to buy? | kuqi
17/7/2005 21:52 | It moves to AIM market soon...less premium to pay for the buyer... | diku
17/7/2005 21:45 | Totally agree diku - I think somebody's quietly accumulating. | qut
17/7/2005 21:32 | Not been here for some time now but I feel SPM will be a takeover target sooner or later... | diku
12/7/2005 20:33 | lol kuqi! Funny you should say that about PMD BB - I also believe there are 1 or 2 posters masquerading under different aliases, for which I've recently been lambasted. There are too many caricatures and the thing is being stage-managed by somebody with possibly much greater interests in the company than us mere mortals. I believe PMD will survive, but I'm not so certain that the shareholders won't get shafted. However, Power have a very large stake and there could be a nice surprise at the end of the rainbow. Over to you Kuqi. | qut
11/7/2005 23:23 | Thanks for the invite qut, but I think I'll resist the temptation. I'll leave it for dellboy, tom, pineapple and all the others (although I'm convinced the whole lot of them constitute no more than two or three people under various aliases) to slug it out over there. Just out of interest, what is your connection with PMD and SPM, and what do you think of their future prospects? It'd be nice to see an opinion from you rather than just playing the sitting on the fence, man in the middle role. Do you actually have an opinion.......on anything in life? Come to think of it, I can't actually recall you ever giving us your 'pearls of wisdom' on anything other than prompting opinions from others. Is this your day job, advfn's very own Jerry Springer? | kuqi
11/7/2005 22:35 | come on kuqi - get over to PMD BB. we could do with your pearls of wisdom! | qut
11/7/2005 21:35 | Thanks Hector! | qut
10/7/2005 20:48 | Hector, have you seen the Profile Media messageboard? It's like world war three on there, and there's no way I'm getting involved with any messages until I can work out who are friends and foes. 0) Anyway, I'm not really too concerned one way or another with PMD as it was a small potatoes, speculative buy. For the record, I think they'll get their funding in place and meet the bank's extension. Then it'll be onwards and upwards. SPM was completely different. A much more serious investment and certainly a much more significant one in terms of pound notes. When I bought in, the company was increasing turnover and making profits, and seemed to be merrily sailing along to the land of prosperity. But as soon as I bought the ticket to join the cruise, someone pulled the plug out of the hull. | kuqi
10/7/2005 20:15 | wrong thread guys. | hectorp
10/7/2005 19:47 | What do you think of Profile Media then kuqi? | qut
09/7/2005 19:41 | Nope, not impressed one bit, qut. Mr Nicholson seems to be the only Director getting in ths buying lark. In fact, he's the only one this year who's featured in 'Director Shareholding' news. Looking at the company's website, their board consists of Stephen Davidson (Chairman), Christopher Haines (Senior non-exec Director, and former chairman), Chris Blake (non-exec Director), Frank Wilton (Operations Director), Chris Hayward (Managing Director - Events) and John Kell (Managing Director - Web). When this lot decide to show the same faith in the company as Mr. Nicholson, then I may be interested......or maybe Chris Blake is still smarting from his purchase of 62,500 @ 16p just before last Christmas. Maybe they're all working on the basis of once bitten and all that. 0) I'm more interested to see what's going to happen with turnover this year. The cost cutting was necessary, but I think they've more or less done as much as they can (besides shipping the whole operation out to India) with regard to damage limitation. I can't see they can go too much further down the cost reduction road without it impeding on the products themselves. This year, turnover is going to be key, and if it's not back up to around the £21m mark, it'll be another hefty operational loss. I'm with the other directors, and certainly not buying any more of this lot. As for dumping, I just need to find a mug to take them off my hands. I'll accept 16p for them..........Mr. Blake? Mr. Blake? Wanna buy some really good stock? 0) | kuqi |
