Yep very once the locals move back to the cities....it will be very quiet. Moving down South tomorrow to Patnem. At Little Vagitor today ...it has an excellent vibe. As usual with Spectra ...the news will take a little longer to filter through...a 12% rise in no way values this company correctly.

Very significant they have proved it works ok. The key is now what customer take up is like. Still very much under the radar here. Hopefully catches a wider audience soon.

Does anybody have any idea of the revenue implications of the potential 1Bn units per year please?

1p per pack would be £10m pa compared to the current annual revenue of circa £10m, but perhaps 1p per pack is too high?

I suppose when only 3% of the population pay income tax ..85% of the population are paid in cash and less than 50% have any sort of bank accounts ...somebody is going to get hurt....and generally that is the poorest. But to drag a country into the 21st centry, something trastic needs to hsppen....especially if you need to fund a $1 trillion road building programme.

The real plan was to raise tax by forcing people to use card payments - the very poor suffer more.

Still deals can be done that work but they normally take a very long time to complete, plus you must consider the coming elections in India.

As clocktower says ...but there is a real sense of change here...after the 2016 ...largely sucessful cancellation of large demonation notes which brought back 85% of the notes back into the system...there is a sea change of tax collection to fund the large inward investment required to fund new roads etc. Yesterday l saw government officers measuring space for beach cafes so they could charge them extra taxes....l can even use a card machine to pay for my guest house...small changes yes...but a change for the good.

I am based at Calamgute Beach in the north till the 24th back to the Uk for Christmas and then back for the new year moving down to the South for the month.
