shanklin: finnCap is certainly the name that came to my mind when I read chillpill's post. One of the added advantages with them is that their research is readily available to investors for free. What we don't know is how much of WHI's very understated presentation is due to direct guidance from SPSY.
nico115: High net worth it I meant private investors Wasn't a big holding but delighted with Wey as originally bought at 21pI know im a big holder here but I'm super excited here and the short term price movements are irrelevant to me There no other stock I would prefer to hold than Spsy for a variety of reasons
pj 1: It's saying it will languish in the face of a lack of growth forecasts or any new contracts. There is a big difference. I'd say that's very reasonable, especially as we seem to be unable to currently attract any new investors in. Nabi, has to realise not only do you have to talk the talk, as in the Proactive, but you need to walk the walk as well. Why would anyone buy in for growth on those forecasts?
fozzie: Company still has authority to buyback 3.654M shares. Nabil states in his short interview that they intend to take advantage of the ‘transiently depressed share price’ by buying more shares for cancellation. I would like to see them get on with this as soon as possible. Still everything to go for here imo, multiple opportunities of which the COVID decontamination project is just the latest and I am looking forward to seeing the press on that story and some orders from the targeted areas Nabil mentions, namely casinos and banks. I’ve watched his interview a few more times and it is very positive in terms of his language and he is not a man used to hyperbole. ‘Ongoing growth story’ ‘phenomenal story that I want investors to pay attention to’ ‘I don’t think you will find a better story anywhere’ ‘phenomenal year and a phenomenal next year’ ‘beats market expectations again’ all really good stuff from Nabil, I don’t think I have ever heard him so effusive about the company and it’s prospects in the seven years that I have held. One day we will see the share price somewhere near where it ought to be, £2.40 for starters, gla.
speedsgh: @nico115 - Whilst it is encouraging to see some of the big names that they are marketing this "new product family" to, that in itself is no guarantee of success, so I don't think it is unreasonable for investors to wait until SPSY are able to announce some concrete sales agreements with Apple or the like before placing any value on the potential. Encouraging all the smae. "In addition, working with our polymer partner, Toray Industries, we have developed a new product family of smartphone-readable packaging films for use in the brand authentication market where print is not an option. This is being actively marketed to large brands such as Apple, BAT, Estee Lauder, JUUL and others."
fozzie: I don’t disagree PJ but all we are asking for is a little bit of interaction from the company with its shareholders and potential shareholders. We are just completely unknown to investors at this point, that is why there is a lack of buyers. It’s ridiculous that one of our posters is the largest shareholder.
vprt: Nico, I think you are spot on with the concerns holding Spectra back in terms of share price. What is encouraging for me (intending to hold long term) is that many of these negatives are short term. Some are self-inflicted, though. With such poor communications (PR, no AGMs, comms with new/small shareholders, brokers, US-based but UK-listed) there is room for doubt, skepticism and concerns about e.g. conflicts of interest related to Solaris to make new potential investors choose to "avoid" rather than "buy" - as there are plenty of other fish in the sea. Although some existing shareholders like yourself have an (as it appears from this board) excellent direct relationship with the CEO and therefore may not be worried in the same way, trust is an essential ingredient that is hard to build and easy to lose. So I think the company should make a concerted effort to communicate much better. This really does not have to be costly or very time consuming - open webmeetings with Q&A would go a long way. If it could get its IR and comms up to mediocre, I'd be OK!
chillpill: SPYS isn’t directly affected by the IG change to margins but a lot of IG investors are having to rebalance their stocks to compensate for the reduction in leverage.
patient fox: hxxps://www.investormeetcompany.com/ has been very popular this year. new investors can check up on old meetings whenever they wish and gain a wealth of info about the company.I think nabil would come across very well and the q&a would be very interesting.Just watching the vlx and k3c meetings this year made me buy into those stocks.Alot of investors dont have the time reading through many rns or searching through the internet if there is no broker research.Investormeetcompany can do everything in one hit imo.
