Comparing apples with apples? Maybe not but like others I still see a worrying valuation disconnect between SOU and say AMER. IMHO for comparative value - to SOU's current MCap - you're looking at 100% share price upside at AMER and within 3 months potential multi-bag upside vs SOU.
This year promises and potential will be secondary to evidence and delivery.

Market in unforgiving mood. Primacy on value and cash generation - not growth 'potential' and dilution 'risk'.

GLA am out for the moment, far better/safer ops elsewhere.

While I am one of JPs critics, I have known the man quite a long time, and you can rest assured that what SOU have found so far, coupled with the extensive seismic, is worth more, much more, than the market cap.

Waiting for news imo.

SOU's given up a decent amount of the fluff RNS gains already (now down 20% from the Monday intra-day high), and will likely further drift as any hot money (if indeed any hot money is playing SOU) exits.

I did last night consider posting the suggestion that Mr. Market won't hold the door open at +20p for long* -that's proven correct, BUT today that's a Harry Hindsight call.

*you don't see gifts like that too often in the market, and considering the car crash that is TE10 imo still pending, what opportunity it was to those looking to get out before SOU finally craters (permanently?) sub 20p. Many apparently took it given this decisive move back into the teens.

There's still £200m on the market cap here. Two. Hundred. Million. Pounds. That's a lot of money and right now imo I see nothing from SOU substantiating the majority of that sum.

All they have imo is the P word -"potential", and the fading confidence an ever decreasing base of PI.

i got in at 6 - 10 -13 long ago
i sold quite a bit at 60+ and i re invested most of the profit at 16 15 and 13 all over again
still a little gamble but as i said at the time is worth more than 13 even with a dry well and let hope this is not teh case

Various possibilities for the surge in trading and share price rise yesterday afternoon have been put forward on BB's, and we will just have to wait and see what transpires. The fact that it occurred from 15.00h onwards to me suggests there might be a US link.

News of previous SOU well results, good and bad, does seem to leak and be acted on by those in the know before being publicly announced, so I am hopeful that yesterday was not mass hysteria but based on insider knowledge.
