Shore Capital Reaffirms Buy Rating for Sophos (SOPH)

Sophos Ltd logoShore Capital restated their buy rating on shares of Sophos (LON:SOPH) in a research report released on Thursday.

Several other equities research analysts have also recently issued reports on the company. Credit Suisse Group reiterated an outperform rating on shares of Sophos in a report on Thursday, January 11th. Jefferies Group started coverage on Sophos in a report on Thursday, November 2nd. They issued a buy rating on the stock. One equities research analyst has rated the stock with a hold rating and seven have given a buy rating to the stock.

matt - This means waiting for the share price to drop 31%. May not reach that level but good luck. In any case the share price is mainly driven by Cyber News and new contracts.

The problem is, it was overvalued at 650 rather than undervalued now. I will wait til 450 then buy

From 650p to 500p, it roughly lost 23% in just a few days.
This is really overdone.
The share price could re-ignite sharply anytime too.
The rate of rise will be similar to the previous rate of drop.

This is the only solid and large cyber-security software house left in the UK.
For someone who wants to position him/herself in this sector for the medium to long term, as the demand will grow strongly with increasing intrusions/cyber-crimes, it is time to accumulate this stock. An excellent opportunity is given to us by this over-punishment. I am sure it will be flagged up positively in the papers during the weekend and next week.

Well at least the broker prices are well within a good range even on a purchase at 5.20. Just depends on how long they take to get back to 6.00 and beyond.

They did reverse this morning and went up to 5.24, stabilised around 5.19 and then crashed again. Probably after the broker cuts.

Buy at what price though? Yesterday at 5.20, 510, 5.00 all seemed good. Now another 5%+ off and they are at 4.84. When will it stop and reverse?
