06/6/2018 10:30 | AGM tomorrow. Should have a statement as we had one last year. Positive statement should hopefully trigger another share price rise. GLA. | mfhmfh
04/6/2018 20:33 | This share goes up and down so quickly but this looks like a good time to add a few more.Hard to see where the negatives are at the moment | hopeful holder
29/5/2018 14:48 | Need to look further at these. Not many shares in issue so may be quite illiquid. Seems to be moving in the right direction profit wise. Anyone know why they are listed in the UK not the USA? | gerdmuller
25/5/2018 07:36 | True janeann | trinko
25/5/2018 00:58 | people sell for all sports of reasons; they need the cash ; their portfolio has got too lopsided; personal circumstances change. No point in trying to read anything into it. If you don't like the share price falling sell. it undoubtedly causes some folk to sell when things go down in the same way folk buy into strength. If its a good company and delivers then it should go up | janeann
24/5/2018 19:41 | Or a bank for M&A perhaps? But gone true the MA 20 could fall to MA 50 | trinko
24/5/2018 18:55 | trinko, I do not think there is anything underhand going on here. My understanding is that Sopheon plan to buy back shares in order to build up a bank of shares that can be used to fulfil staff stock options in the future. This will help to support the share price The fall in the share price over the last few days is just profit taking after a good run for the shares. Price has returned to the upper trendline, after outperforming. Perhaps others have a viewpoint? | bamboo2
24/5/2018 18:42 | I Know about that But why selling if the company will buy them at 960 with this close . Someone sold these 3000. Or could it be a game to get the stock price so low de company profit the most. Trinko PS I really for my self don't understand why people sell ad the moment. Investors paid 986. Really have no clue. | trinko
24/5/2018 17:18 | trinko, look at the trade type. It is an uncrossing trade [UT]. These can appear on the buy or sell side. It is the last trade of the day and its price will be the opening price tomorrow morning. Try googling for more info about uncrossing trades. There is a later trade for 920 | bamboo2
24/5/2018 16:50 | But Why the selling at close 3000 for 900 I don't understand that?? Someone a theory? Thanks Trinko | trinko
24/5/2018 16:06 | I think on balance it is good news. Buying back will support the share price. The co receives back at least some of the cost of the share, assuming they are exercised. As part of a pay package, conditional options align the interests of shareholders and staff. Obviously the exercise price is a key factor. | bamboo2
24/5/2018 15:27 | Ad this close they would buy for 960. But who sells so many? And why selling at these prices? | trinko
24/5/2018 15:20 | its interesting isn't it; the directors sell a load at 9.86 and get the company to buy them back (at this rate) cheaper. Makes one think someone is pulling a fast one. | janeann
24/5/2018 15:11 | Maybe the pullback from that. Purchase price wil be at least 105% of mid-close pace so they can buy cheap. | trinko
24/5/2018 14:50 | Is this good news? Sorry but I am a newbie to all of this. | davebdavid
24/5/2018 14:27 | Thanks, I bought this at 6 ish and sold c 7 ish...so haven't covered myself in glory. But I like it and think the company can do well. | nimbo1
24/5/2018 13:58 | Welcome nimbo1, I guess we will get a trading statement on the date of the AGM. Thursday 7/6/18 It looks like the co plans to buy back shares. See resolution 6. [up to 1,000,000] | bamboo2
24/5/2018 11:55 | purchased the pullback | nimbo1
24/5/2018 06:40 | who new of this project ? Sopheon is project leader. Somebody post it on a other chat. itea3.org/project/bu BUDDY High Volume, Personalised Telemonitoring of Remote Patients Tele-monitoring of patients by hospitals, combined with social patient selfmanagement, is critical to alleviate overburdened health systems around the world. This is specifically true for urban areas. The current medical IT infrastructure is not equipped to tele-monitor massive volumes of patients in parallel. The objective of this project is to develop and validate a crossfunctional, generic set of services that is able to address this need on a global scale, as an export product, with a focus on large cities and urban areas. And the first virtual nurses are out Trinko | trinko
23/5/2018 22:46 | bamboo - share availability has also been for me on this and some other stocks inc zoo. It may be just a timing issue with someone either buying or selling a decent quantity that then affects whetehr a limit order is required. On acso it does seem a reliable indicator of buying or selling pressure; there I have been able to sell my entire holding for several days and the stock has kept going up. hopefully this will go back above £10 shortly! | janeann
23/5/2018 19:57 | Could this be a reason for the drop? It relative negative for Sopheon. Is from 6 day ago I mean With an ROE of 28.91%, Sopheon plc (AIM:SPE) outpaced its own industry which delivered a less exciting 11.51% over the past year. While the impressive ratio tells us that SPE has made significant profits from little equity capital, ROE doesn’t tell us if SPE has borrowed debt to make this happen. We’ll take a closer look today at factors like financial leverage to determine whether SPE’s ROE is actually sustainable. Check out our latest analysis for Sopheon What you must know about ROE Return on Equity (ROE) is a measure of Sopheon’s profit relative to its shareholders’ equity. An ROE of 28.91% implies £0.29 returned on every £1 invested. Generally speaking, a higher ROE is preferred; however, there are other factors we must also consider before making any conclusions. Return on Equity = Net Profit ÷ Shareholders Equity ROE is assessed against cost of equity, which is measured using the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) – but let’s not dive into the details of that today. For now, let’s just look at the cost of equity number for Sopheon, which is 8.30%. This means Sopheon returns enough to cover its own cost of equity, with a buffer of 20.62%. This sustainable practice implies that the company pays less for its capital than what it generates in return. ROE can be dissected into three distinct ratios: net profit margin, asset turnover, and financial leverage. This is called the Dupont Formula: Dupont Formula ROE = profit margin × asset turnover × financial leverage ROE = (annual net profit ÷ sales) × (sales ÷ assets) × (assets ÷ shareholders’ equity) ROE = annual net profit ÷ shareholders’ equity AIM:SPE Last Perf May 16th 18 AIM:SPE Last Perf May 16th 18 More Essentially, profit margin shows how much money the company makes after paying for all its expenses. The other component, asset turnover, illustrates how much revenue Sopheon can make from its asset base. And finally, financial leverage is simply how much of assets are funded by equity, which exhibits how sustainable the company’s capital structure is. Since ROE can be inflated by excessive debt, we need to examine Sopheon’s debt-to-equity level. At 17.20%, Sopheon’s debt-to-equity ratio appears low and indicates the above-average ROE is generated from its capacity to increase profit without a large debt burden. 23/5/2018 17:48 | janeann, it makes me wonder about Halifax sd. Availability of shares to buy on autoquote has been a problem many times. Back up to a full holding here again. :-) | bamboo2
23/5/2018 11:35 | Surprised its fallen this far below the placing price. added a few - and no need to place a limit order. | janeann
23/5/2018 10:57 | Added a few times this morning. Nothing on autoquote, had to place orders. Can sell plenty on autoquote though, so I think any sells are being quietly hoovered up. Potential turn sometime time today/tomorrow on the last market price based chart. | bamboo2 |
