Not stalking you, just saying this was one of my picks for 2018 and I don't know too much about them other than a brief look at revenue and growth in the last week or so.

I think Directors might need to wait until after the scheduled trading update which is only 3 weeks away, I might be wrong but there should a 4 week closed period before an update and an 8 week closed period before result announcements?

Lovely looking chart here with a breakout underway after a long consolidation period. Many positive now, an unscheduled ahead trading update, very strong net cash position, board considering a dividend payment and all convertible loan notes converted into shares.

Congratulations to all of you here who have held on.
I sold all my shares in 2016/17 at a handsome profit and have been thinking of buying some back at about 350p. It is plain that I have missed my chance but I shall keep my eye on the price in case it drifts down again.
I cannot see why it should.

A pre-trading, trading update. Very significant methinks. Still seriuosly undervalued. I expect a few director buys which normally follow updates.

Maybe 2018 is the year SPE gets the quality rating that the company and its excellent management deserves.
A quality company stuffed full of cash that continually outperforms the markets estimates.
Not sure what more they can do.

I think these share are cheap at the current price, the company is on a modest multiple of earnings, growing, has a strong cash rich balance sheet and is thinking of introducing a dividend.

A strong hold for me.

There is only 410p & 427p to clear before a shot at the 500p summit. Should get past the first two in the run up to the end of Jan update IMO.

Good news for me as the convertibles were acting as a brake on the share price. Future 8% interest saving paves the way for a decent dividend methinks.

Obviously an alternative view for the recent share price weakness, could be that they have struggled to close the final £5 million of turnover that they needed to hit the year-end targets. Interestingly too, finncap says this morning that they look forward to seeing the pre-close trading update in early January.

Good to clear up the balance sheet early while cash is high and business is strong.

I bought back in here last month after I looked again at SPE and tried to work out what the full year results might look like, trying to be conservative I came to an EPS conclusion of 37.9p versus broker consensus of 23.96p.

Even allowing for increased number of shares in issue 9,995.947 would mean PER estimate of 28p and a PER of 12.

Obviously explains the recent weakness in the price. Over two and half million new shares soon to be issued at 76.5p each
