26/5/2017 16:45 | yes absolutely rogash and no need to apologise. I just happened to notice in the investors FAQ section of the Sopheon website that there's a question about when the AGM would be and the answer states that it's 'expected to be on 8th June' | gleach23

23/5/2017 08:56 | I'm keen to find out whether or not SPE is having any success in its chosen new target markets, particularly the financial sector. If so it could be a game changer. Anyone out there in financials involved in Accolade? Meanwhile I think we are vulnerable to a take over at the current share price which is still cheap in my opinion. A bit baffled by the 30% drop to the 360's after the finals, but pleased it presented buying opportunities. I'm a holder, strictly no advice intended. | chadders

22/5/2017 13:24 | Johnnv - in a publicly available report says along the lines of: "Sopheon was slower in hiring people than it intended during 2016, so 2017 costs are likely to reflect this additional recruitment...we have assumed a 0% effective tax rate for our forecast horizon - this drives the lower reported EPS assumed for 2017 than 2016, which saw the benefit of 1.3 million deferred tax asset" The low forecast and tax asset, and dilution questions all contributed to the sell off on news from results 2 months ago, despite an important 20% increase in revenue visibility. Hopefully a good update on June 8th reverses things. (It is also hoped that the forecast is unrealistically low, set to give SPE flexibility and something to comfortably beat). See also, Sopheon's twitter feed and website re: new hirings. Progress still seems slow - could be to do with industry or geography. The thing I am very aware of is good people seem to get poached from Sopheon to go to Planisware and similar co's who seem to have strong employee benefits and culture. Not talking down SPE (I am rather long here) but aware of the competitive landscape. I think an expanding market is enough to lift all boats at the moment and there may be other plans for the company as well... Plus Sopheon remains quite well placed in US (significant growth there if you strip it out, with Europe still loss making). | samsj
22/5/2017 10:47 | Took a few k this morning. Held this way back at 75p ish. Should have held longer. Back to £5 | mikeh30
20/5/2017 10:30 | The 45 p was undiluted eps. It was much less, allowing for dilution; there are a *large*number of likely new shares. I think the forecasts are diluted, but it's hard to be sure without access to the original text. | martinc
19/5/2017 13:07 | Just been looking at SPE for the first time, can someone explain the eps forecast of this year of only 24p compared to last years 45p. Why the drop? | johnv
19/5/2017 09:15 | Sopheon has a market-leading solution, global reach, solid financials, a clear corporate structure, an accelerating market, and most importantly great people - a real platform for growth." Barry Mence, Chairman Very bullish at year end so I believe NT is correct in his assumption that it's cheap right now. | chadders
18/5/2017 16:29 | Sorry, (fat finger). | odys2
18/5/2017 16:21 | Naked Trader (hxxp://www.nakedtra "...I took a loss of £440 on Sopheon as it looked like my top up was bought near... the top! It kept drifting down. Not really sure why, possibly just profit taking. But held onto currently profitable positions in it and considering buying back any minute as surely it must be worth more than now!"... | odys2 |
