02/6/2017 19:20 | No, no, no. No one can live on the pension...FACT. The UK is extends from North to South. The crinkles in the North were deying of cold because they were frozen to death. The idea was, ok, the old counts, that get the low temperature, get a bit more cash, to keep the fucckers alive. Now, May, says this is wrong. | 11_percent
02/6/2017 19:17 | tom, there are a lot of pensioners who quite like receiving it, is the country really so desperate that we need to take back allowances from pensioners? Food from the kids? Selling all the NHS lands at half the price?(Naylor Report), they don't have to do it. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 19:14 | ive only just found out that they sneaked another I think 2% on insurance for cars homes etc, whats next food. | tom111
02/6/2017 19:12 | Anyway, if they cut 0.0001% less corporation tax, they don't need to take our winter fuel allowance. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 19:07 | I think the only fair way to do this is to treat the winter fuel allowance as an income, like an annuity, and put £200 extra on the tax allowance. It is so simple and I don't really believe they never thought of that. I think they just want to take it all back. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 19:06 | What do suggest the threshold should be ie 20,30,thousand a year income I guess it will be lower than that though.Ive been receiving it for years, comes in handy at Xmas | tom111
02/6/2017 18:18 | Out of 12 million pensioners, 10 million Will lose their winter fuel allowance. If you are the first to lose it because you are the richest pensioner in the UK, then there is no problem, but it gets harder, and if you are the 10 millionth, the last one to lose it, it will be very, very hard indeed for that person. It probably is between food or heat. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 18:16 | Hear, hear Tournesol. Welfare state is a fabulous idea but it should go to those that need it, not those that want it. That way, we could give more to those that need it, and who through no fault of their own cannot support themselves. Always amazes me the general response when means testing of benefits gets mentinoned. | plentymorefish
02/6/2017 17:36 | Yea, had forgot about the winter fuel allowance. | 11_percent
02/6/2017 17:13 | It's the winter fuel allowance that worries me most. It could cost lives. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 16:48 | To use pensioners as a so called electioneering platform and then grab back cash off them is just plain stupid. They need the oaps votes, who worked that one out.lol | tom111
02/6/2017 16:25 | I am voting for Jezza. | tli8jaguar
02/6/2017 16:21 | Don't think its all May, its her tossa advisers. | ziblot
02/6/2017 15:58 | Ziblot, Agreed, going to dump the triple lock on the pension.....then take the house for care in the community, how stupid are these people. | 11_percent
02/6/2017 15:41 | I'm staying put, bbc tonight 2030. Corbyn and May. Labour after the young vote with free Uni education. Tories shot themselves in the foot with doing away with pensioner triple lock then telling them they would have to pay for care but would leave £100k. Not clever. Wasn't a bad debate last night so hope Corbyn gets caught out tonight. Reckon footsie would lose 1k on a labour victory | ziblot
02/6/2017 14:49 | Little top-up for me @ 55.25p ;@) | gymratt

02/6/2017 13:22 | Well I wasn't going to say it but as you know everything stops at Watford Junction, just joking | tom111
