21/4/2017 11:58 | Divi received yesterday in my HL account | andyt2885
21/4/2017 10:51 | Looking to top up when opportunity comes I think around 290/300 | saj3
21/4/2017 10:48 | Regarding the divi, I don't see mine either in my iWeb ISA. Seems that they receive it by cheque, and must wait for it to clear (and change currency?) before allocating it to account holders. Could take up to 10 working days they said, although they expected it to be less. | stepone68
21/4/2017 10:44 | The drop seems to be continuing. I was expecting it to come to an end about now but we still continue to be going down.I am not sure if this is now oversold and will come back a bit or if there is other news in the pipeline. | cotswoldmusic
21/4/2017 10:42 | Nor me from H-L | runthejoules
21/4/2017 10:08 | Still haven't received my divi from IG! | saj3
20/4/2017 11:50 | Currently no wide spread on iweb. Just been offered more to sell than it costs to buy. | 3500sr
20/4/2017 08:15 | You're both right, but of course it's the outlook that matters, not the past. I still think it's going to be bright and the fact it's only dropped 6% so far on quite a large paradigm shift shows the market isn't *too* concerned. With the dividends and the spread so big I'm going to look on this one as a long-term hold. | runthejoules
20/4/2017 07:44 | Agreed - except that in those earnings will already be in people's records in historic sterling terms, to be compared against the current results at current exchange rates. Plus the dividend for last year's interims was only paid at around $1.30, so even with the pound having risen it's still not even back to where it was for that payment last September. | rivaldo
20/4/2017 02:01 | That's not right. The historic rate does not affect Somero's earnings as these are in dollars. Only the current exchange rate is relevant for translating these earnings i.e. these dollar earnings are now worth fewer pounds. They were worth more when the dollar was higher against the pound but it's not any more. It's pretty simple really - exactly the same as if you had some $100 bills. | trigger16
19/4/2017 23:14 | For one thing, SOM reports in dollars, not pounds. For another, even as regards translating the numbers to pounds, the fall in the pound happened post-Brexit last June. So the whole of this H1 will likely be at least 10% better in translated EPS terms than its comparative period. Even after this week's rise in the pound. | rivaldo
19/4/2017 14:53 | Yes Ali. Its current major market is the US so dollar/GBP weakness *has* affected it. This will probably last as the £ strengthens and applies to other currencies too, but I'm betting Somero's expansion and economies of scale can offset this. Having said that, I wish I'd taken some profits but was ill yesterday :0( | runthejoules
19/4/2017 14:39 | is this share affected by sterling strengthening? it dropped for 2 days in a row! anyone with insight please! | ali47fish
19/4/2017 13:55 | I'm with iWeb and have not yet received the dividend. | stepone68
19/4/2017 13:53 | Flagon - of course. That explains it. My other 1 US $ payments is actually paid from Jersey and uses $ as an international currency so US tax not relevant. Not thinking. Many thanks | housemartin2
19/4/2017 13:17 | HM2 - Are you adjusting for the 15% withholding tax ? I hold SOM via TDW ... and my divi is correct. 8.6cents translates to 6.69p less 15% would be 5.69p or so per share. Hope this helps. | flagon
19/4/2017 13:07 | Has anybody received the last divi through TDW ? I have and the exchange rate works out at $1.513 = £1 which is ridiculous, even if there are some fixed cost element. Before I remonstrate with TDW, I wondered if anyone had been there already and could share ? | housemartin2
19/4/2017 13:02 | Gairich - Sorry if you usually get picked up more quickly. I am new to this site and have not visited regularly. I was looking for something specific. You refer to spelling hounds trawling the message boards is intriguing if bizarre. I have not seen them myself (unless you were being ironic of course) | housemartin2
19/4/2017 12:32 | Wouldn't worry about it - just noise like yesterday on KWS which dropped 8% ! Lucky enough for me I bought at the bottom of that at 736 ! | panic investor
19/4/2017 12:06 | 330 was also the Naked Trader's target price so his followers may have stopped out there. I should have put my stop loss there too but now it's gone, it's gone. | runthejoules
18/4/2017 15:36 | Fully loaded here and will wait for ex-divi to add | panic investor
18/4/2017 15:34 | Keep your eyes on the prize guys...:-) ....8.6c divi now due plus a special divi to be announced sometime this year. | cfro
18/4/2017 15:25 | Selling due to Sterling direction. I sold for that reason, but in any case the dollar is looking weak, irrespective of Sterling. | hpcg
18/4/2017 13:55 | Acso kws and som all big winners this year moving into China | panic investor
18/4/2017 13:38 | Agreed nothing has changed - dudnt think you had kws | panic investor |
