16/6/2017 15:54 | Conclusion: We can not overstate the significance of this deal. Newcrest know what they are doing when it comes to the future of large-scale deep-level ‘block cave’ mining and exploration of these types of projects. This second investment by Newcrest is transformation for SolGold and implies that there is very much more to define and to find within the Cascabel license area in Ecuador. Rarely have we seen so many investors effectively free-carried in this way | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 15:50 | Angel update | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 15:23 | Absolutely brilliant day ... ok we have a lost a little ground but that will soon be made up and more. Considering the drop sparked all sorts of fears only to be answered by yet another cracking investment from Newcrest it has made my day. :O) | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 14:34 | 6 % higher and we will be back to mondays price ! | naughtynicky72
16/6/2017 14:14 | shakester2 - me too, but I still live in hope that one day they'll do something. Ever the optimist. Didn't sell any of my holding, but couldn't clear funds in time to buy more. As lefrene said above, at least a 41p floor should be set now | sthelensrlfc
16/6/2017 14:10 | Newcrest presumably know what they are doing, after all this is their game, they should know a good prospect when they find it. Eventually an authoritative resource report will come out, and the slide rules will guesstimate the potential value of the metal in the 15 billion (or more?) tons of ore, less the cost of extracting it, which of course is where Newcrest have the expertise. $40 million bet against the prospect of extracting $ billions over the next few decades. | lefrene
16/6/2017 14:02 | sthelensrlfc - I've witnessed a lot worse on aim with nothing done unfortunately | shakester2
16/6/2017 13:58 | What I saw was a bargain, and 2 days ago bought in at 37p. Could have got 35 I suppose but got to jump in at some stage. If market makers and insiders sold them to me, then all well and good - surely every seller needs a buyer. I bought back shares I had sold for 42.5p end of last tax year, and now my holding is back where it was. I also see the TSX and main board listing as +ve, and assay results should be good and soon, so propects look OK to me .. for now. | noccer
16/6/2017 13:52 | OFF TOPIC (Greka drilling) GDL worth buying....just won 15 million contract | jamesd888
16/6/2017 13:38 | I was too scared to stock up earlier though ODRodders! It was a guess that another fund raise was going on, and of course the squeaky clean AiM couldn't possibly have leaked that info, now could it! But it looks like a 41p floor has been put in. The money may have been required for the move to the more senior markets to demonstrate fiscal certainty as an on going enterprise? I suppose now I should buy the yacht, sail away, and come back in 5 years when I'm bound to be a multi-millionaire :¬) Oh hang on it's Friday I'll just go and buy a lotto ticket, that should do it. | lefrene
16/6/2017 13:33 | Nice job by the market makers and insiders to sell ahead of the placing and scare some into selling out on the cheap. The placing price isn't too bad, though it annoys me how the small discount to the share price is meant to make it sound good, when it was clear it was being manipulated to achieve that aim. Most on this BB could see the trading pattern of the last few days was not normal and a placing was suspected. I wonder if the toothless FSA will be able to see the same as the rest of us and do something? Highly doubtful | sthelensrlfc
16/6/2017 13:03 | Well done lefrene ... be fearful when everyone is greedy and greedy when everyone is fearful as they say | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 12:54 | Excellent! | shakester2
16/6/2017 12:51 | So money in the bank 41m. No more capital raising! | filterwest
16/6/2017 12:45 | yep ...dust will settle soon that another hugely significant confidence boosting investment has just been made. | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 12:40 | It no brainer. This should be 41p no time. | filterwest
16/6/2017 12:29 | TSX listing in about a week - how will that affect things? Interesting that Newcrest are paying 41p, and we can buy them at 38p on the open market. | noccer
16/6/2017 12:28 | Well i was right about the leak and the capital raise but happy I got the price wrong to the downsize ! | onedayrodders
16/6/2017 12:27 | Iefrene I hope there are many more to come but at higher and higher price this is a victim of success with drill and until result extend the area they will continue to explore without even thinking on the mining itself and for that they will need money the borrowing and or the JV will come when they will need to build they facility itself and for that we will need hundreds of mil | jovi1
16/6/2017 12:17 | Plainly insiders knew a cash raising was underway hence the mark downs. I'm quite happy with the price for the raising, but I hope that's the last one they need. | lefrene
16/6/2017 12:16 | that is well above my expectation glad I topped up yesterday that should see us going for some time | jovi1
16/6/2017 12:11 | RNS is out | filterwest
16/6/2017 11:40 | Exactly my thoughts. Hard to hold on and see your profits dwindle. All long term holders know what a leap of faith it was to participate in last placing @ 3p. I'm hanging on in anyway. | mam fach |
