40p always been tricky to break.
But we might break it today - never to get back to these levels again.
As I have said many , many times hold on to your shares.

SolGold Receives Investment Proposal from BHP Billiton

The Board of Directors of SolGold (AIM: SOLG) wishes to inform shareholders that SolGold received an investment and earn-in proposal from BHP Billiton (BHP) on 8 October 2016 (BHP Proposal) which includes the following details:

-- An offer by BHP to acquire a 10% interest in SolGold for US$30 million which implies a share issue price for SolGold of approximately US$0.22;
-- A right for BHP to appoint a Director to the Board of SolGold;

-- An offer by BHP to earn-in to the Cascabel Project, by spending US$275 million to acquire 70% of ENSA out of SolGold's 85% interest in Exploraciones Novomining S.A (ENSA) which company currently holds the Cascabel project tenements.

Thanks, shareholders will want a buyout of some our finds or a cash call. The American and the Chinese will want the juicy bits and the new funding will want the shares at 20p? or less.

Not sure if this observation has already been expressed but, and in cynic mode:
Anyone with foreknowledge of today's RNS stood to make mega bucks. Were contingent assets disclosed as a part of LSE full listing requirements? The Company had to know something of the prize they were sitting on, if not the whole deal.
MMs playing games the last few weeks or just loading-up in anticipation? Dodgy dealings or par for the course?

Yes Aguinaga could be the proverbial game changer if it proves to be a viable open pit opportunity. Near term cash flow would alter perceptions about needing more cash calls, and heaven forbid a divi!.

ALso should have some drill results on Aguingaga in NOvember. That sthe one i have high hopes for in terms of moving the price.

howie1943, they are going flat out to get a maiden resource statement for Alpala, supposedly before the end of this year, but I note they have not been too good at meeting deadlines lately. Then there is a feasibility study to be completed before the end of 2018. Once the feasibility study is done, then slide rules can be run over Alpala by miners who would be interested in putting the odd 1 or 2 hundred million $ into beginning extraction. So perhaps in 18 months time we might have offers from miners for Alpala? The rest of these huge finds will probably take many years just to prove up, but who knows several large miners could want to get on board and thus speed things up?

The UK market is probably fretting about Solg generating income, but I'm guessing large American or Chinese miners will value Solg by a different yardstick.

SOLG have many good prospects and one exceptional find. And all in the ground. When are we going to hear from the CEO on their plans and timescale to get these into fruition. One year or ten years?
