That is a dreadful chart! We must all be crazy for having faith in SIA turning things around. Seems we are "contrarian" at the moment.

Well I for one had a crazy rush of blood to the head yesterday afternoon and bought back in at 58'ish. Hadn't really expected to see anything starting with a 5 but I suppose that's just where we are. It would be nice to think it was onward and upwards from here but given world volatility, who knows? Good fortune holders.

That is in the face of USA fracking ... which should now get a Trump push in the new year

Plus a UK fracking push by the Government to make us Brexit OIL EU independent

Plus Electric car manufacturers falling over themselves to get their products to market as fast and as competitively priced as possible to win FIRST market share

It is reaching a point on the chart where it has bounced on at least four occasions before so probably "safe" to buy here (cough, cough) soultrading. I wish you luck. Given patience it should be a good buy point. Can't see this continuing at this level for much longer. The BOD have to do something and even though I am well down I still believe that things will get better. I have been wrong for years though! Don't listen to what I have to say!

Soco International's interim results were positive with revenue for the first half of the year above guidance, Peel Hunt analysts say. More importantly, Peel Hunt says the company's first-half production was solid, with full-year guidance unchanged. The brokerage says Soco International is also delivering on its work program and that, as it does so, its faith in the stock continues to solidify. Peel Hunt leaves its buy recommendation and 120-pence share target price unchanged.

Also interesting to see the potential of Israel. This piece shows a platform that is currently being installed in the Leviathan Field (Ratio Oil who are one of SIA's partners are a partner in this field) off Israel:



The potential seems good as the other piece below proves, but it may be a while before any potential discovery impacts SIA's bottom line or the share price! Map is also interesting when compared with the one I shared a few weeks ago:

Missed this piece on SIA's results:



Nothing new but a reminder that the 3rd rig will start work in October and perhaps we will hear some news on this in advance of the CMD? Probably not, but if they want to up the PR/IR would not be a bad idea.

For the rest of the year, the two drilling rigs will continue work on new production and injection wells, with the aim of increasing production. A third workover rig will be brought in during October. Soco also said it was planning on shooting new 3D seismic in the north of the concession – although this is contingent on approval from the military and clearance of unexploded ordinance.

Just calculated by position re: "return on my investment in SIA inc. dividends". Still well into the negative with an average of 374p. Still a long way to go till breakeven, let alone a profit!
