07/9/2019 05:06 | At least we should get an update soon on the goings on here: Clusters A and C, each likewise comprising four 400km² blocks, were awarded to a joint venture of UK headquartered Cairn Energy and Soco International and Israel's Ratio Oil. Cairn has previously focused on Africa, the Americas and the North Sea, and, before that, South Asia. Soco made its MENA debut in April with the acquisition of Egypt-focused Merlon International and thereby of a producing concession in Egypt's Western Desert. Ratio has been a presence since the birth of Israel's offshore gas industry and was responsible for the discovery of the estimated 22.4tn ft³ Leviathan field in 2010. The company also owns the Royee licence, adjacent to Cluster C. Useful maps shown in this piece from which the above was taken: | lauders
05/9/2019 12:08 | Probably just a change in oil price assumption? | stepone68
05/9/2019 11:18 | It's done the share price a lot of good! Price is now over 65p. The highest in nearly a month! | oilinvestoral
05/9/2019 07:58 | Stifel dropped PT to 54p this morning, anyone seen why? | ghhghh
02/9/2019 21:09 | There can’t be many here who haven’t filtered ‘Buywell’ | pumph
02/9/2019 14:57 | What's the latest regarding our Israeli adventure ? | oilinvestoral
02/9/2019 00:12 | Also filtered said individual oilinvestor. Don’t intend changing the status anytime soon. Agree that SIA looks a compelling investment at the levels. If I was brave enough I suppose I should be averaging down. | lauders
01/9/2019 18:03 | Lol crud not curd in other words sheeeeeet | oilinvestoral
01/9/2019 16:45 | oil investornot sure whether it's lemon or orange or passion fruit. but it's definitely curd. | tournesol
01/9/2019 16:39 | I can't read buy wells messages because I have it filtered. Is there anything of value or is it the same old crud? Basically should I temporarily unfiltered it ? Or keep it in the recycle bin? | oilinvestoral
01/9/2019 16:24 | Chart says no | buywell3
01/9/2019 12:47 | Price looks like it's stabilised or at least the rate of drop has significantly slowed down! I believe the company has seen the error of their ways! At 60p the shares are grossly undervalued! Egypt alone is worth more than that! In 2011-2012 Merlon got a takeover offer of $400 million. The purchase didn't complete due to the Arab Spring at the time. Vietnam is throwing off FCF and providing an annual 5-6p dividend for next 5 years at $60 oil! There will be big changes in Q4 at Soco. At these prices I'm a buyer! | oilinvestoral
01/9/2019 00:06 | Would certainly increase the excitement at Soco towers! A younger more dynamic and apparently capable BOD working with, or replacing in part, an old guard that failed to take advantage of M&A opportunities earlier. Let’s see what September brings. Hope it is not more of the same when it comes to share price performance. | lauders
31/8/2019 16:44 | LaudersI was actually thinking the same thing. A combination between SIA & JSE makes a lot of sense and provides economies of scale (30k production and significant reserves). I wouldn't be surprised if Soco makes another acquisition before year end. | oilinvestoral
31/8/2019 08:20 | Does anyone think that Soco own/lease OIL assets in the South China Sea the ownership of which are disputed by China ? I would be very interested to know Answers could be : Yes or No Yes -------- meaning you think China disputes the ownership No -------- meaning Soco is free and clear regarding any dispute | buywell3
31/8/2019 02:51 | Something good I hope oilinvestorAL! CTR is probably going to be correct given SIA’s awful “recent” track record. If a dividend comes that will help claw back some of my losses here. Perhaps JSE and SIA can do a deal one of these days. Both have Vietnam interests and the BOD there are younger and hence probably keener to progress. Let’s see if anything positive develops from Merlon acquisition! | lauders
30/8/2019 21:47 | EE Do you really expect an interim dividend? Have they alluded to that anywhere? | oilinvestoral
30/8/2019 18:24 | Steady financially. 2p interim dividend. Interesting detail of explo in north of block in Egypt and perhaps some early assessment of 125/6 seismic. | emptyend |
