Is there some signs of life here? Yesterday wasn't a bad day and now some "strength" has crept back into today's price. Could really do with some positive news here to get us away from these lows that have persisted over 2019! Come on SIA BOD, please give us something to cheer about!

I'd imagine expectations will be much lower than they have been but £1+ absolute minimum one would think.

According to the last Broker note it's worth 89p so you never know when a predator may jump in. They have already done a lot of work with CNE so as I say who knows.

I would be amazed if anyone was bidding on this stock at this point in time. Very unlikely.

The move today on ameriseur (+40%) gives a clue as to what can happen in very unloved e&p when talk of a bid & sale process surfaces. I don't think we are there yet but always worth bearing in mind.

I think the point of this development is that it makes clear that there is a good opportunity set emerging for growth.Whilst VN TGT/CNV are now known quantities, there is the 2019/20/21 upside potential of 500mn bbls in Egypt, followed by 2020/21/22 upside (unquantified for now....but not for much longer?) from 125/6 in VN, followed by 2022/23/24 upside potential from Israel. In other words a strong development pipeline is emerging again.

Interesting development. Bids closed today and the winning bidders will be announced on 12th August. My guess would be that Cairn/SOCO won't get more than 6-8 blocks as I suspect the two bidders will have bid for the same blocks and that two of the zones won't have had any bids.Some useful background here
