12/3/2018 11:36 | Meanwhile we are only ten days from the prelims.....when the IR offensive can now firmly be expected to start (whether or not there is a finalised deal to be presented at the same time). The days of being able to assume that "there will be no news" are coming to a close..... | emptyend
12/3/2018 11:23 | keith95 "We voted to LEAVE both Single Mkt, and Customs Union - both fact, because we voted to take back control of Laws, Borders(SM), and Trade(CU)" You might have done - but the referendum question was simply "Should UK leave the EU".So you cannot with credibility generalize. Ok Einstein. We voted LEAVE to LEAVE the EU, to take back control of Laws Borders Trade Money Fishing Now, to take back control of Laws/Borders means Single Mkt is out. To take back control of Trade means Customs Union is out. If we voted to Leave EU so as to take back control of the above how on earth does that mean we didnt vote to Leave the Single Market or Customs Union exactly. The only credibility being stretched here is your intelligence. A question to address all the issues you raise might have been: "Should the UK allow EU Freedom of Movement" How does this address Trade exactly? Or Fishing? Or Laws? It doesn't as it only addresses Borders You don't know what you're talking about clearly | fangorn2

08/3/2018 16:30 | Fang,Just to repeat. This is the Soco board. Let's not go back to where we were in 2016.There's plenty I could say to point out the factual errors in your statement, but I won't.If you want to discuss Brexit do it somewhere else.Peter | greyingsurfer
08/3/2018 15:42 | Indeed. Need to put me in charge. I'll have it all sorted one way or another. Doesn't help that our political classes are unwilling to accept the Reffy result and so spend 24/7 undermining the process. Shocking they now want to force us to into Customs Union. We voted against that. Still at least Italy gave us the last laugh!!! Wonder who is next. | fangorn2
08/3/2018 11:22 | Shambolic against the EU also. We are not trying! | joestalin
07/3/2018 20:18 | Let's hope we beat France eh Joe... Shambolic against the Scots | fangorn2

07/3/2018 12:21 | Anyone joining the "One Nation" party? | fangorn2
07/3/2018 11:50 | Dunder.....Agreed. As I've said before the man is delusional. Best left alone. I think the best advice for MThead would be get up tomorrow morning, kiss the wife good bye and then go off as usual down to the 'Soco' garden office. Have a good clear out. Present himself with a gold (plated?) wrist watch. Say 'thank you' to everyone present!! Then lock the shed, go back to the house and tell his wife what a fulfilling time he has had at work over the years and and how much he is now looking forward to doing all those things in retirement. | eggbaconandbubble
07/3/2018 09:33 | Ll1. What ee was actually saying was people were stupid for not understanding e&p and then ironically went on to criticise people for investing in a company in an industry they haven't worked in! Massively obtuse for the following reasons! 1. I don't think he has any e&p experience except for working (strategically?) for armpit aex - even more of an under performer with mediocre (at best) 'management'. I stand to be corrected on that and apologise if incorrect. 2. People have every right to research companies and invest in them even if they haven't worked in that industry without being criticised for it! Ffs are you telling me most of the pension fund managers that we pay to look after our future have all worked in the industries they invest in?! 3. This is the crux here - it is not a case of not understanding the business model. It has simply under performed in the past - this has nothing to do with whether investors have or haven't worked in the industry, it is because the market has not liked the management application of assets and investment returns. Simple!! 4. Then because I have the temerity to openly criticise him he filters me!! I've got a big tip now. I've heard of an e&p company that has recruited two accounts receivable clerks and, I'm inferring from this, it is because they have bought into a big successful producing asset and this is going to be transformational for the company!! Or am I just an arrogant idiot who is missing the point!! All imho and dyor of course!! | dunderheed
06/3/2018 20:31 | Fair points ee. Odd that you attack anyone with a bearish stance so avidly when you accept that such a stance has, and is, to some extent justified. I am neutral on Soco at this price. There is plenty to like and not to like. It's important to discuss the bear points as much as the bull points imv. | loglorry1
06/3/2018 01:53 | Re the tweet, Nigel, I suspect the source is a similar Middle East source to the earlier leak......ie disaffected KE stakeholders (eg bondholders). FWIW, as you know, no "UK institution" is likely to hold much sway over Soco.....though perhaps that would change, post-deal. | emptyend
06/3/2018 00:42 | Go sleep ee or maybe Soco causing you might sweats and you simply can't sleep?Oh dear.. | invisage |
