09/3/2015 15:34 | If the demand is there and the price is right then getting and fitting out containers won't be a problem. They don't have to be deploying old stock, especially not for temporary (but quite long term) housing. | lefrene
09/3/2015 07:14 | dont forget observer they do have a limited number of old containers. Once utilised thats it. | angus17
09/3/2015 06:51 | The recently announced deal with Ealing Council/Mears Group is a landmark one for ZZZ. Recent broker coverage has not factored in this new revenue stream, which could be replicated with other Councils across the UK. I would suggest the re-rating will continue and the recent broker note which offered a target price of 17p may be revised upwards in due course. The shares are still selling below net asset value which was circa 12p in late June. No dilution worries either with a strong cash position and a debt facility in place. Could see some strong upside this week. | observer007
08/3/2015 11:55 | Another possibility for older boxes past their premium rating would be at motorway pit stops. Plenty of people would pay £50 to get a nights sleep instead of trekking on into the night. | lefrene
08/3/2015 11:40 | "Sitting in beautiful rural Gloucestershire, the spa town of Cheltenham is the home of the racecourse and Snoozebox is located at the trackside – The heart of the action..." | someuwin
08/3/2015 10:24 | They should have put some at Cheltenham for the race festival for the week, as it's always booked out. Missed opportunity. | lennonsalive
07/3/2015 18:39 | lefrene Agree. It was not me who suggested £100 a night but if somebody working and commuting to Aberdeen on say £40k a year can pay £20 a night for 5 nights a week £5k for a year is very reasonable most accommodation is nearer double for the cheapest outlets. I have a friend who works there now and again who sleeps in a caravan to save money which of course it pretty cold in winter. I'm sure a snoozebox for £100-£12 | 21trader
06/3/2015 15:08 | Agree observer007 and with the warrants out of the way (funding having come from the debt arranged last year) the returns to shareholders are not going to be diluted. Amazing to be able to buy such a strong turnaround story at half last years price. As Buffett says, the stock market is the only store in town where, when prices are lowered, people leave! | yamba
06/3/2015 14:54 | The share price hit 17p last year in quick time but ZZZ are in a far better place these days than then. | observer007

06/3/2015 12:27 | 70 years after the end of WW11 we rediscover pre-fab housing!! I wonder how many of these 'modular' dwellings will still be earning for ZZZ in 50 years time :¬) | lefrene
06/3/2015 12:20 | Buyers over 8. Still cheap , cheap , cheap ! | bean02
06/3/2015 11:01 | yes that ealing contract could be the start of something if other councils follow their lead. lets hope it doesn`t get slagged off in the national media and become a no go .... m | maurillac
06/3/2015 09:47 | At least with a council contract the financing should be easy. | lefrene
06/3/2015 09:18 | This is a really interesting new market, modular social housing. Its a huge issue in London, and probably many councils nationwide, on not enough social housing and private landlords as well as B&Bs charging an arm and a leg to the Council. This could also be an effective long term deployment of the V1 boxes. However, I note that the above press release probably indicates that no V1 boxes have been used. They look like "new" modular housing units are going to be installed, with Snoozebox providing the modular expertise while Mears does all the heavy construction and assembly work. | boonkoh
06/3/2015 09:17 | And where one council goes the others are sure to follow. | lefrene
06/3/2015 08:46 | This is the Ealing Council announcement: New modular homes for Acton Published 2 March 2015 Enfield Road in South Acton will be the second site for Ealing Council’s new modular homes scheme. Modular units The council-owned former garage site will be transformed to accommodate up to 44 pre-fabricated modular units which will eventually be used as homes for families in need of emergency housing. This project follows on from a previously agreed plan to use a site in Bordars Road, Hanwell, which will have up to 32 of these pre-fabricated units. It is part of a raft of initiatives the council is working on to help boost housing supply in the borough for people in need. Councillor Jasbir Anand, the council’s cabinet member for housing, employment and skills, said: “Ealing, together with many other London boroughs, is facing a significant increase in demand for housing and accommodation. “The council is working very hard to provide as many housing and accommodation options as possible to help meet the overwhelming demand and a number of strategies have been put in place to best prepare us for the challenges ahead. “This project is one of many we are undertaking to help boost housing supply for the people who need it most. The modular homes will be used as an interim measure while more permanent places can be found for residents facing homelessness. This scheme will also reduce the council’s reliance on bed and breakfast rental, which can prove expensive.” The proposal for the site in Enfield Road includes a laundry, landscaping, outdoor seating and amenities space, and a play area for children under 10. The individual units will each house between two and six people. Following a tendering process in November 2014, joint bidders, Mears Ltd and Snoozebox, were awarded the contract to construct and supply the units at both sites. Other initiatives under way as part of Ealing Council’s strategy to increase housing supply include the construction of new homes, new hostel spaces, use of vacated flats on housing estates awaiting regeneration, conversion of empty shops into homes, purchase of property on the open market and rehousing people outside of London. Construction work on the sites is due to commence in June, 2015. | orange1
06/3/2015 08:29 | I must admit that ZZZ are really securing some decent and significant contracts. Not to be sniffed at and on the assumption that these are being secured on some reasonable terms it can only bode well for future rev and profit forecasts. Its still speculative for me and a small holding but I really like the offering and personally have confidence that over time they will deliver. | norbert colon
06/3/2015 08:10 | If this drops back on profit taking the dip should get bought back up todays news is significant and the stock should not be trading this low. | 21trader
06/3/2015 07:58 | 07 I do not think they will get anywhere near £100 a room in Aberdeen but the whole point of finding locations for old stock and getting a regular income is excellent news and now this cherry on top with Mears who are massive there could be more to come. And trading below cash. Talk about good/lucky timing to buyback in yesterday. | 21trader
06/3/2015 07:56 | Selling below NAV of 12p and Directors bought at 10p Recent news is excellent. Broker target 17p | observer007
