28/11/2024 12:47 | There are no perfect rules. You really need to look at the company ion detail: prospects, debt, profitability, moats, management; and of course changes in these (so management change can be neutral or disappointing, ro, as here, really positive). For every trading "pearl of wisdom", there is an equal and opposite risk. There is no free lunch... | edmundshaw
28/11/2024 12:04 | Roll on the next dividend. I am up 98% here (plus dividends banked to date), so the divi is a pretty good return on my capital. Cash cow companies which kill the golden goose very seldom manage to resuscitate it so I very nearly gave this a miss when it was sub 30, and sold some at 40, only to end up buying some back at 57 this year. It is irritating to have ended up buying back shares at 57 which I sold at 40, but if I am honest I was lucky as I very nearly passed up buying, and having taken a punt and bought at a tad under 30 I came within an ace of selling out the lot at 40 for what then seemed a very respectable profit. There is a hell of a lot of luck in this game. It is all very well saying 'run your winners', but I have seen the air come out of so many winners and wished I had quit when I was ahead! | 1knocker
25/11/2024 12:46 | Nibbled a few more here. Groundhog Day. Almost the same thing here everyday, keeps pinging off particular price points on both sides. That chart range is so tight since the results on the 5th November. You would think that a breakout could be quite fierce. I don't know how much selling needs to be mopped up here. A hell of alot has been taken up by buyers. Looking at the book today and wondering where that big seller at 61.8p has gone. There is usually a 20k iceberg there preventing the breakout higher above 62p. Are they having a lay in? Luring a few buyers in to then smash the bid back down to the bottom of the chart range? Or are they done to allow that break above 62p? The book is as well bid as it has been at the moment at 61.8p-62.4p. This is one of those moments where you sit and wonder if there is a lazy late seller to come in and ruin any optimism (they have had all morning to smash the price back down) or the breakout is about to happen. What a tease. 12:49 EDIT Price now 62p-62.6p. We need to take control of 62p. Let the battle commence! All imo DYOR UPDATE 26/11 08:19 The 20k seller at 61.8p came in late in the day but has decided to turn up on the book nice and early at 07:51 today. It is all fun and games in the market! UPDATE 26/11 10:20 I think the full order size of that 20k iceberg was 480k in the auction yesterday, but unsure if that is the whole order, or whether they let that fill and come in with more, but the market is having a go today at chewing through it. Really need the buying to pick up. Come on, show us some ooomph and buy through it to allow the break out. UPDATE 27/11 09:43 Relentless selling continues with more blocks being sold at 60.8p this morning with prints of 798k, 500k and 300k. Relentless buying continues too of course, but you'd have thought with all this mopping up (well above historic norms of volume), that it might have broken higher by now. Still a stalemate with the price at 61p. | sphere25

15/11/2024 17:11 | Perhaps the buyer knows something more than the seller... | fenners66
15/11/2024 16:12 | ... and 5 million were acquired! | tourist2020
15/11/2024 14:43 | Over 5 millions shares sold today just in the last hour two chunks of over 2.5 millions were simultaneously sold one after another - this not looking good . The seller (s) know something more than the management imo | stevensupertrader
15/11/2024 13:23 | Had a little nibble, and watching these blocks getting mopped up, almost on a daily basis. At least two funds buying in size and two lots of 2.66m prints hitting the book just now at 61p. Clearly those buyers are sat from 60.4p-61p on the bid trying to exhaust these sellers to allow that breakout above 62p. That iceberg seller has been persistent on the offer working down from 61.8-to 61p. So we're still a stalemate, but these blocks are interesting, and just sat wondering if the sellers are close to being exhausted. Can't see that 20k iceberg seller on the book today. Come on, just lob a few whoppers and breakout! All imo DYOR | sphere25
14/11/2024 21:50 | Todays news of Bunting's dealings put his divorce funding sale in perspective. He's still holding an extra 500k+ shares in the Company now over what he had immediately after the (divorce) sale, so much less of a 'sell-out' than the doomsayers had painted a couple of days ago. | outsizeclothes.com
