01/5/2008 15:41 | seems like decent results , and they get hammered for being proactive in stopping unreasonable sales practice's , weird markets !! | scrapman
23/4/2008 14:24 | Good share but it's not exactly cheap! I managed to make a well timed sell (for a change!) at 687.5p thinking we may have a double top. Hoping to get back in at less than 600p. | chopshs

02/4/2008 12:18 | another good day , heading for 700 | scrapman
25/3/2008 10:40 | good gains this am , and consistant trades | scrapman
15/2/2008 09:33 | After this mornings news of Berksihres interest in GSK , would not surprise me if they or one of the Soveriegn funds were building a stake in these | scrapman
08/2/2008 11:47 | wonder if there is a major investor building a stake in these ?? the trading has been very sustained and very tight ranges maintained. I think pretty good results and forecasts yesterday, obviously a leader in their field, look forward to more news in due course | scrapman
06/2/2008 14:39 | It's difficult to know how to play this one. On the 'no smoke without fire' principle, one must consider the possibility of factual basis behind the recurring offer rumours. Conversely, it could just be manipulators seeding a plausible story for their own profit. Whatever, it would undoubtedly have paid off well to have traded the spikes and dips. Murphy's law determines that the day I do that, an offer will crystallise. | boadicea
05/2/2008 00:52 | getting a bit beyond me , the company has been buying back 150 to 200 thousand shares every day , big spikes up in share price when everything else got hammered , larger than normal volumes going through , all adds up to ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ? ,no idea , but would guess the results will clarify something and the price will bounce ,but which way I hav'nt a clue. As boadecia mentioned , I thought the recent moves would have prompted some announcement | scrapman
04/2/2008 14:52 | I viewd the crest lending firgures and there does seem to be a good sized percentage being borrowed for short posisitons. | n1ckcfm2000
04/2/2008 14:51 | In your view (open to all SN followers) would it be lunacy to Short Sn with a view to the 7th? I think their results are going to be well below expectations. | n1ckcfm2000
31/1/2008 16:24 | what another weird day , mr 866 has been on both buy and sell side all day , subliminal message , or just another lunatic | scrapman
31/1/2008 12:47 | This would call for a "management knows no reason" statement if that were true. Possibly therefore, the management does know the reason which would imply a leakage of information - or at least "intelligent" guesswork. There are plenty of companies promising good results for 2007 whose share price has nevertheless been trashed in response to the current credit debacle and expectation of problems in 2008. The imminence of results (a week today) is not enough explanation imho for a strong rise into new highs as the news flow over the past quarter has been mixed (positive - product launch, BHR progress; negative - knee recall, SFO Iraq enquiry). Alternatively, is the situation a purely technical one? There is currently 2.38% stock on loan (to shorters?) who may be wishing to close in advance of good results 'risk' but who have been outflanked by the company's persistent stock buy-in . I would be interested to hear other views. | boadicea
31/1/2008 12:21 | very consistant buying , just noticed results are out on 7th Feb , perhaps someone is confident of a good performance | scrapman
31/1/2008 09:05 | another positive start this am and good volumes again | scrapman
30/1/2008 16:34 | There aren't many companies currently hitting new highs - certainly not any others that I hold. | boadicea
30/1/2008 14:37 | have noticed buybacks , last few days are about 150k , todays t/o allready 6 mil, must be some stakebuilding perhaps ?? | scrapman |
